It's been rumored that he has struck fear in the hearts of top players all over Japan, as they avoid his lobbies completely saying he is unbeatable. That said, he has never shown up to offline tournament in Japan and remains a mystery. No one knows what he looks like or where he lives.
The voice is like the Japanese equivalent of Microsoft Sam. It's reading out all the stream chat messages so he can talk to them while playing.
About the gameplay, I dunno that didn't seem as "scary" as the bio sounded. I mean the video started with Condor being down 6-12. I only watched the first few and all I really saw was some nice Cap combos and mixups, not really a high level sentinel or anything.
I love the Japanese players. There teams really prove how band-wagon jumping the American Pro's are.
Oh, Condor... How I miss playing you. I don't rage much, but against him? Oh, I raged.
Best JPN PSN player along with yuki, hands down.
I dont know if its just me but... the dude seems OK at best considering all the ridiculous play ive seen from ABEGEN, Cho and Kusoru to name a few. I could just be a scrub.
Also, i feel that a 2nd Lord is a low rank for an "unbeatable" player
Also ... 9:02? Most bad ass moment. It's like the lower-tier smacking the top like a (mean person).
Condor = Anonymous of UMVC3. "We are Condor Missile expect us" lol.
Eh...his Cap is pretty good and it's clear that his team is built around him, but his Sentinel is nothing special, he does the same stuff that every other average Sentinel player does. And then his Iron Man seems to be there mainly as an assist more than anything else.
@14 yeah I thought this guy went like 100 - 0 or something. Not putting off his skill, this guy is scary looking as hell, but obviously he is beatable, don't know why Japanese players are so scared of him. Im sure they can adapt.
I think whats scary is how he basically made Cap top tier just by his team make up.
10 more years indeed.
Nice write up but hes alil bit above average at best.like wtf? Unbeatable, but he loses 8 min in. Way over hyped though I think he'll place top 64 at evo where he'll play against real player who "strike fear into the heart of other" lol what a joke
lol at people saying "not impressed" or "just above average", same people with all the excuses when someone come over and take a major with underused characters and make your players look helpless and is not even forced to use a B strategy, log trap was just enough.
I remember people said kusoru is average and will not make out of pool in Final Round after they watched his vid online.
After they lost, they blamed on the characters that he use.
source.
Yeah, I find some of these comments hilarious because in recent tournaments you've seen simple game plans and strategies doing quite well; nothing too complex. Yet when you see simple skills/strategies and gameplay here, you think average player. It's easy to see how people play when you're not worrying about how to counterattack at that moment in time; you're just watching a vid. Just keep in mind when watching vids, hindsight is 20/20
@21
I spit my drink out when I read that.
Too funny.
At the end of the day this guy is not going to evo....so does how feared he is by other japanese players really even matter. if you take out his cap his strategy is done. players that should be "FEARED" are ones where every character on their team is a threat like yipes, marlinpie, filipinochamp, justin wong to name a few.
Honestly... I think I could beat him. His strategy is pretty mediocre.
Oh, so it's Japanese Bum.
