I knew I was wishing for too much when I wanted to see Dart from LoD. I think sony wants to leave that game buried. He would have been a cool character too.

Judging from the games some of the 'minions' come from, it actually adds to the character leaks.

There's actually a mistake in this article, please correct it. Examiner's item section came copy 'n' pasted from my post on GFAQs. I thought that the "Scythe" item was the Reaper's Scythe from Fat Princess, but it's actually the "Scythe" as in the Great Mighty Scythe from Patapon.

I am really hyped for this game now. I hope it's true that Sir Dan is in, as when I read the rumoured characters list I fell off my chair. Along with Crash and Gex, he's in my top 3 I'd absolutely love to see :3

That's from Parappa's level 3 super haha. He does this dance on stage while rhyming and that's one of the parts he says.

On another note, I got in on the beta. I don't really like it. There's just something about it making it lack that fun factor.

Still no Lara Croft?

Not all of the minions are "assist trophies", that's just the script for the NPC characters in the game. Quark and Keira are BG characters, Worker is Fat Princess's heavy attack, Kuma is Heihachi's Level 2 and Murray is Sly Cooper's level 1.

That needs to be clarified.

The thing is, third party developers are hesitant to have their iconic characters represented in something with an uncertain future. So instead, companies like Konami and Capcom see this game as a giant ad, having them put in Raiden (instead of Snake) and DmC Dante (instead of a more iconic character).

And a completely different third party developer like Activision really sees this opportunity as a cash grab, which makes Crash and Spyro just as unlikely to show up.

I don't see Raiden as a ad for Rising since he is associated with playstation just as much as Snake. Besides that they're probably using Raiden because Snake was in Brawl, but we can't forget that David Hayter did some voice acting for the game, so Snake or some version might be in.

As for DmC Dante Capcom most likely wanted him in instead of the old Dante cause he is in MvC3 and they want to start promoting DmC now. Sucks for fans of the character, but hey got to use what the publisher wants when it comes to their characters.

The problem with third party characters is that you have to through their publisher to get them and if there is no incentive for them then they will just say no which Crystal Dynamics did because their new Lara Croft is different from the one fans grew up with on Playstation and they most likely don't want people thinking about the past Tomb Raiders when the new one is getting ready for release.
