Never was a Maximilian fan, but him playing SF4 was awesome. It was like the old episodes from Excellent Adventures before Mike & Gootecks started playing that crap sfxt.
Go Max, more SF4!

I really want to give this game a chance. I love it but right now online is unplayable. The sound glitches are just horrible. Why cant they fix it in some patches? I can only play this game at home with friends.

I hope SFxT will get another chance after the next patch(assuming the major issues are fixed to an acceptable degree), but somehow I doubt a lot of people will be willing to give up what's become their favorite hate outlet, never mind the fact it will no longer be valid.

Street Fighter X Tekken is a good game with some problems. This next patch will probably fix a lot of them. However, it won't matter. The FGC has made its mind up and is completely against the game. Capcom handled it very poorly initially, it is too late for them to win the FGC back with Street Fighter X Tekken. Why? Because the FGC is filled with hysterical, entitled fanatics that all have a sever case of hive mind. The combination of Capcom screwing up and the fans being losers has sunk a game that was only a few patches away from being very good...

Heck yea it should get another chance, its a freakin awesome game that some people thought it was cool to make fun of and that caught on like wildfire, NO its not perfect but they are patching it up nicely.

SFXT ROUND 2....FIGHT!!

why does he keep pushing sfxt?

"Street Fighter X Tekken is a good game with some problems. This next patch will probably fix a lot of them."

This is what they said about that patch that allowed Rolento to crash the game by having his knife collide with any other projectile. Then they left that in for what? Two weeks to a month?

I will be very glad to pick up SFxT from the bargain bin and buy the on disc characters once they actually begin addressing problems like gem imbalance, a mediocre pandora system, and blockstun issues.

@AkumaMishima

Well said; there are many problems that still exist in this game. Clearly they need to be addressed; I am happy some people will be willing to give the game a chance when these problems are dealt with.

@Vivadongodon

What you are witnessing with Blankabeast is the direct effect of the FGC being overwhelming, and unreasonably, negative towards Street Fighter x Tekken. This is what dealing with the FGC causes; extreme frustration and fatigue. If you really like fighting games you end up tethered to this horrible, misogynistic, immature, unwieldy thing called the FGC. How many people who claimed that Street Fighter x Tekken was "unplayable" and "broken" even played the game? 30%? 15%? 5%? I am sure there are plenty of genuine detractors, but I have no doubt that the mass majority of the haters are just wagon jumpers who have absolutely no autonomy.

@19 - pretty much, sadly. I'm not even that big of a Capcom FG fan (a big fan of the characters, but there's other FGs I tend to enjoy more) but I've been hit with that for actually liking this particular game (shock!).

All I can do on my end as a player, is play the game and get better, and try to get it played by others locally. If it "dies" then so be it, but **** it, I'll be playing it even after it does anyway, because I enjoy it both competitively and just as a game, despite its flaws (which I feel are exaggerated).

The problem with SFxT is not the game as much as the FGC is a$$ and complain and moan about everything... this game has pressure, mixups, zoning, and it all make sense if you know how to read frame data, more importantly its system is UNIVERSAL and for the most part there is a option for all situations. Have the people online don't utilize alpha counters, there are super jump set ups that tract your opponent even if they roll on a un-techable knockdown. Most of the things I dont like about the game is being fixed(air tatsu) so its all about skill.. minus gems there are no real ridiculous comeback factors and pressure is to be respected

Why do America love Umvc and Sf4.. quite simple: Sf4 is a street fighter game till you play against certain characters that goes against the engine.. why is viper,fuerte, and seth in this game? why make that horrible focus system when majorty of the tops you cant focus on anyway? and marvel?! please its a up-back fest of ridiculous hit boxes and everything is cancellable so punishment is almost out the window for doing something stupid.. bottom line if you not good in these games depending on who u pick even though player A is better than player B .. Player A would have to fight 10x harder than normal because of the person they picked while in SFxT if im better than you it will show the majority of the time

So dont rant to me about DLC this and that cuzz capcom has been raping us on the DLC issue since '09 .. hell mvc3 wasnt even out a whole year before that made ultimate so stop crying you know they was going to do that. Give the game a chance and find out for yourself if you like it and not cuzz the general public says something

Im not overdoing jack bro, I genuinely like the game a LOT, its like SF4 with MORE OPTIONS + a 2nd character to back up your mains weaknesses.

@18
You have a mind of your own, CONGRATULATIONS. You have already won.

Max is just trying to overcome all the negativity he is dealing with, but he has to just realize, there is nothing to overcome other than a bunch of talking heads that are still wrapped up in SF4(which is still half decent, but its not SFXT)

SF4 = Hit a bad matchup, likely lose because of it.
SFXT = Hit a bad matchup, TAG -> NO MORE BAD MATCHUP! MIND=BLOWN.

@12,13,14,18,21,23 - Play the game, enjoy its many options and take it from there.

FGC keep playing and supporting marvel remember yu payed 40$ for a slightly updated game and Twelve characters i think. i paying twenty. its too late anyway, the FGC just wanna play ssf4 and marvel then complain about jabs and gems in sfxt

You know what I REALLY hate about the game? The way it's turns everyone into a crusading knight, fighting against the demons that plague the FGC in some sort of grand holy war. This applies to people on BOTH sides.

I bought the game new; I played it for over a month; and I turned my back on it because it felt rushed and the online was terrible. That was my experience with the game, not some call to arms to take back the FGC from the infidels who enjoyed it or something. -_-

People were upset at infiltration? Why, because he played too good? That makes no sense at all. Nobody wants their favorite to lose, but it seems weird anyone would have a problem with cleaning house the way Infiltration was doing it. I was going for decent amount of his opponents and I was still mesmerized by those beatdowns he dished out.

I like how people who have absolutely no idea about coding make the process of patching sound so easy and simple. Not defending Capcom per se ("oooooooh Capcom dickrider hurr durr". No. Grow up.), but I have noticed that consumers today tend to give more criticisms than credits. I guess this is an inevitable consequence as video game industry grows so big of a business. But it also means that developers' work is getting significantly tougher than it was before.
I think we should take a step back and calm down.

@gammabolt17 yeah, I just enjoy seeing high-level, smart gameplay, regardless of who it might be performing it. I can understand some hate several players get, such as Champ as he does have that sort of demeanour that would put you off him as a person (I like him though), but I'm not understanding the Infiltration hate.
He came to EVO, made everyone look free in both the tournament and money matches etc. and left. For what it's worth, he seems like a cool guy too. We should be talking about how on point his playstyle is. Sure, I was hoping a few players got further, but Infil played the best and deserved to win.

Infiltration is probably the nicest guy in the FGC. Watch before the fight when the announcer says the name of Infiltration's opponent, Infiltration always claps his hands. No one else does that.

I have no doubt that he's nice. But I went a little "whaaa?" when he stood up right after defeating Daigo, did the Akuma pose, and left the stage. Did he shake hands with Daigo after the match? Maybe they did off-stream, or I missed it, I don't know.

I've played SFxT extensively, and I honestly think that SF4 is better in a ton of ways. But honestly I prefer faster paced games like Vampire Savior and the Marvel vs series, so I think those games are better both SF4 AND SFxT, but like I said, that's just my personal opinion.

@31 - I've been there before, I feel you on that. BB wasn't my thing but I ended up being the only one in my circle of friends that was still in town after college that wanted to put any time into GGAC.

Same with KoF, actually.

What probably keeps me going on this game is that at least when I can't get people to play against locally or make it out to local stuff (which until this year I couldn't get back to), I can play online. That'll honestly get me back into GG with the XBL release as well, as I was never really that good and would at least like to learn it on a casual level.

ive recently jumped back on sf4 and i must admit the game feels generally smoother? imo i think sf4 is probably a better game for me, but playing sfxt i tend to have a lot more fun as there are more options and from the 31st i think the game will just get better, and maybe in the long run i will prefer sfxt it has a lot to offer. I have stuck by sfxt since release and haven't had many problems with the game even with all the problems and auto gems lol i think the main thing was balance, and maybe a few personal preferences but overall i think this is a great game, the dlc on disc never bothered me one bit, i actually spent more money on sf4 than this, with ae update and costumes. with sfxt i havent bought nothing except for the game and i will buy the dlc update.

i have notice that both sf4 and sfxt lobbies tend to be pretty full, but maybe less ranked matches in sfxt due to auto gems lol but both games seem to be doing well online so fingers crossed for the future!

Nothing wrong with liking the game a lot. Hell, I used to like this game a lot (waiting for dlc characters to pump a bit of life back in the game for me).

The problem is, and it's hardly a problem, is that you seem to be similar to MALDA in the fact you praise this game on news posts that have nothing to do with SFxT. Just seems a bit irrelevant at times.
