...Are these guys DLC or are they on the disc day 1?

...i'd rather preffer THESE being as optional free DLCs than Angel, Kunimitsu, Green Ogre and Michelle Chang...seem more worthy...Kunimitsu, Angel, Green Ogre and Michelle Chang should have been day 1 on disc characters, while these four DLC...unfair!...

Man, I love Forest Law! Or maybe it was that awesome stage music he had back in Tekken 3. Hopefully, they make the characters as unique as possible, because it would be a waste of space if they were copy/paste.

These guys will fill in the remaining 4 blank spaces we've seen on the character select screen, so sorry to people expecting a possible playable Gon :O

im sorry but i have to ask this question. why are we praising namco for these copy and paste clone characters. yes the game is going to be awesome i have no doubt about that. but these character choices seem lazy as hell at best. there is very little design put into these character to differentiate them from the ones we already had. you guys may say that namco listens to its fans and they might for all i know. but i call this amazingly lazy.

To #15 Honestly I think they are just covering all grounds with these guys. I mean the roster for this game is enormous and I find it very difficult to believe anyone could complain about said roster. I think these characters are just meant as fun extra's since they already have every notable character in the series history. If anyone is complaining about this game then I think they just need to quit Fighting Games then cause it doesn't get more definitive than this.

Glad you already know their full moveset.

It's obvious they will be similar to the characters they were supposed to replace/be a skin. What matters is the differences like Kazuya and Heihachi's difference.

@ronedaddy and what exactly do you expect? A brand new character to appear in a non-canon game? The only instances of that are uber-powered forms of existing characters etc. It's not as if they're giving us Armor King 1, King 1 and Kuma 1 for crying out loud. These are characters who a good number of people have asked for. And it looks like all characters who were skin-swaps at a time, are being tweaked to have their own movesets anyway. I know you want a team of Azazel and NANCY, but you can't I'm sorry.

Tiger Jackson is a fan favorite...despite whatever you choose to whine about Liberator.

Basically what Angry Steve said is spot on.

Oh and the last time Forest Law was in a game he was lacking a few moves that his father CLEARLY gained when Law Sr. made his return in Tekken 4 and subsequently 5 and 6.

So there will be some notable differences, maybe think before you angrily take to the keyboard chaps.

does any of these four any more original than Kunimitsu, Angel, Ogre and Michelle?? damn Forrest even LOOK the same as Marshall! there should be something, so it'd make look different one character from another! while with Forrest Law its NOT the case...he looks just EXACTLY like Marshall he even has all his moves wtf?! ...while Kunimitus even having different moves at least looks original...

Forest Law has no facial hair and wears a traditional a long shirt. Though I sure this could be changed in customization.

the only thing that might make up my mind and consider getting Tekken Tag 2 is changing free DLC cast...i want them to make Michelle, Kunimitsu, Alex and P.Jack as 1st day on disc characters while making Angel, Ogre, Tiger and Forrest free dlc options...this is the only way i'm getting this game...i want my select screen to have 50 slots WITHOUT DLC characters! ...if its not the case i'm not getting this game...

i have asked for Kunimitsu and Michelle since the day Tekken Tag Tournament 2 got announced! i never asked for Alex, Forrest or P.Jack on day one, but i prayed they'd include Kunimitsu and Michelle day one...and what did they do? they broke my heart with making them free dlc...THESE four should have been free dlcs now i f*cking have to suffer...and just so you'd know NO i can't download characters via LIVE service...its a long story and you likely won't understand, because you're probably rich spoiled bastrad anyway...

I asked for Alex and P. Jack from day one. I guess Namco prefers people who don't wish illness and/or death on someone else's family.

ok this sounds really funny. first of all, the dlc characters will be free at one point so what does it matter anyway? second, are you saying you rather have your select screen incomplete?

@25 Now I am confused at first everyone was crying about paid DLC from Street Fighter x Tekken and this time around your purchase decision is based on how many "FREE" DLC slots is going to make up the roster of 50 characters vs Characters on disc?

I genuinely feel some people in the FGC would pay for DLC that allowed them to remove characters from their disc, with the amount of complaining they do when character X is in, but character Y isn't.

Apparently he is from the Ukraine and is unable to partake in the DLC due to his country's restrictions. Instead of being grateful that people were trying to give him advice and different options to bypass this, he complains more about how he can't do anything about it.

So just ignore the troll, and the vast MAJORITY of us will continue to get hype and be grateful for what Harada-san has worked so very hard to provide us with.

There is literally nothing wrong with this game now. It actually has everything.

With such a large cast it's inevitable that there will be similar characters. I don't care as long as the gameplay is good. This game is looking great. If you don't like the DLC then don't get it and go on with life. If you CAN'T get DLC? :'(

I was gonna say the same thing. The only problem would be money. But if you love both then get both. If you can only get one, then think about which you will have more fun with, which I must admit is a pretty difficult choice.

They're not exactly copy and paste characters.. It appears that their counterparts have slightly different moves

Wow, I just checked the trailer. I haven't had time to analyze all the characters just yet, but Forest is notably different from Marshal. He has the old d+2,3 back for one. Looks like he plays a lot more like T3/TTT Law, which is f***ing awesome.

These characters in this game make SF and MK look legit with their copy & Paste characters for the sake of having their character roster size look impressive. I kind of call this lazy, but hey the masses are praising Namco for this because they are "fan favorites", yet they will never be used after screwing around with them for a few hours outside casual play

To anyone that's complaining about who's in this game remember that this is a NON-CANON game. It doesn't make sense to complain about pallete swap characters, as this sort of thing been going on since Tekken 2. Quite a few characters are very similar to each other

Baek/Hwoarang
Eddie/Christie
Bruce/Bryan
Nina/Anna
King/Armor King

In each of these cases, 80% of these characters' moveset is
about the same, yet I don't hear anyone complain about them being in there. I think that putting EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER in TTT2 is win/win for everyone.

@61 Hmm. I recall Hwoarang's (T3) moves being mostly different from Baek's (T2) set. IIRC, Lee was a lot closer to Law than Hwoarang was to Baek, and the same with Kunimitsu/Yoshimitsu, Michelle/Wang, and Devil/Kazuya.

Eddie/Christie was a special case, since when Christie was introduced, Eddie was accessible as an alt custom (like Kuma/Panda) on the PS version.
