So, when are they going to tell us the release date? Holiday Season 2012 isn't helpful.

They need Crash Bandicoot and Spyro. Those were the iconic mascot characters I think of back in the PS days

This announcement is probably going to be Jak, and apparently Toro, but "rumors is rumors".

And yes, they need Crash and Spyro. Vanilla Spyro, please. And I would be thoroughly satisfied.

Am I seriously the ONLY one who will be completely uninterested in this until they announce a better, ssb-esque non-idiotic game mode?

You're all just joking, right?

right?

@4, Haven't you heard? Seth and Clockwork are involved now. Somehow that changes everything. They both have such a stellar record of game design credits.

@12

They've already mentioned there is going to be a "stock mode." Also, it is really annoying that people whine like babies that this is a SSB rip-off and then complain that they aren't ripping SSB off enough. If you don't like meter management, fine, go play SSB.

@12
Sony having a panel at Evo for me has me thinking they might have built the game with hardcore modes or mechanics that they just haven't shown yet. Im still not impressed with it as is. Im intersted if sony is building it as a strictly fun casual party game like smash or something that was made to be played competitivey unlike smash.

@12 Just to add, all previous versions they have shown off were pre-alpha, stated by Superbot's Omar himself. It's probably going to have quite a few surprises considering Sony is actually taking this title seriously.
