It appears that Boxart Megaman was the result of Inafune's input for a fun Megaman representative in Street Fighter X Tekken and that more announcements of new characters are coming very soon.

Guests / bonus characters for street fighter x tekken.
like deadpool escapes from the MVC3 because he wanted

# 20 : No, guest characters are not using up "proper" space because the extra resources (a.k.a. money) they spent on time and manpower for creating them where provided by Sony. So if Sony paid them to add more exclusive stuff into the game along side the planned stuff its not considered "wasting character slots" but in fact "adding extra content". If you ask me DLC stand alone characters like in UMVC3 and MK are more of a waste of space since those are designed with the studio's original budget and if someone buys them fine, otherwise they are for nothing

As for that so-called DLC list i think its all BS. I am sure there will be additional character DLC in the future but i doubt they would be taking the failed MVC3 route again so soon. Cody and Guy in particular have been freely offered in SSF IV and A.E. so it would be more than stupid of Capcom to think that people would now want to pay for them in a game that is basically using many SF IV characteristics and its graphic engine

I like character dlc so long as its not already on the disc and you are paying to unlock a part of something you already paid for... But, I don't want to pay for characters that are cut and paste from ssf4 like guy and Cody. If it were Alex and Karin I'd be interested but recharging for recycled characters would be lame. Gotta bring freshness for dlc in my view.

#42 Lupinko was not the original leaker it was Oracle. He had the full list before Lupinko started tweeting hints once a day. He stated that they would be dlc.

I like the look and vibe of the game and I think the old school Mega Men box art version is AWESOME. However, the gems concept looks like it's proving to be nothing more than a dash for cash, just like people anticipated. I was trying to give Capcom the benefit of the doubt on it but I learn yet another lesson on trying to embrace optimism.
I'm hoping the game sells well, but the gem packs go mostly unpurchased. The question though is whether or not they'll have purchased gems in the tournaments.

I find this article not fully believable as when Inafune still wanted to continue working with Capcom to help continue MML and MMU Capcom full out denied his offer. But I did hear he and Ono were on good terms with each other so maybe he did this as a sort of last "Hoorah" for Inafune. Well either way I get a Blue Bomber no matter how badly his face makes me want to slap him silly.

Take a look at the freakin competition: Mortal Kombat, King of Fighters XIII and BlazBlue ALL had paid DLC characters. Capcom at least gave us SUBSTANTIAL content with SSFIV and even A.E. and the only slip-up they made was with MVC3. They've had two games canceled, their character put in MvC as a skin, and now that he's put in a game, the developers try so hard to make him unlikable, by making him fat and ridiculous. Akuma as a secret unlock-able (downloadable code unlock) character is a bit stupid and redundant!!
We already know enough about Akuma that it's not even funny, he should never be a secret character because he's not new or fresh. He just doesn't feel rewarding to unlock.

You know when I first sad BB mega I laughed my butt off and loved it. I didn't comment originally on the first post revealing him last night cause of all the people complaining about it saying "CAPCOM IZ MEEN TWO MAGA MEN!! I HAETS THEM!" which did happen too (oy) As a fellow megaman fan(and one who wants legends 3) you people need to grow up. For starters he is just a game character. While he is one of my favorites I accept and know that fact. You guys have been having the thinnest skin recently and it is becoming annoying. Yes I wanted him in MVC3 I don't hate capcom for him not being in it.
on a note I think the reason MVC2 did so well and 3 didn't do well is nostalgia. Looking at the two rosters most of us like the character choices in 2 better because those characters we all grew up with. Only a few were unknowns and the rest we had grown up with as young kids. So we are naturally very attached to many of the fighters in that game. MVC3 didn't! MVC3 focused on pulling out more of the lesser knowns which was damning to the game. While people familiar with comics know a number of marvels some of capcoms where not as loved. Who here was clamoring for Trish and RE 5 Jill? Probably not many. While MVC3 has the better gameplay engine(imo) MVC2 has the better selection basing characters on popularity with only a few obscures and a few characters not form marvel or capcom(like Amigo)

I don't know about Leo and Christie, but I do know that it would be weird and unequal with the addition of Cody and Guy without Leo and Christie.
Lupinko said there suppose to be more characters than UMvC 3, according to those leaks he's wrong especially about the Xbox 360 version because it would only have 46. He didn't specify what system so he had to have been talking about both systems.

I'd say requested characters like R. Mika,Karin for example maybe in an arcade edition DLC pack later down the road. There's NOT going to be a super or ultimate, it's going to be a straight up arcade edition pack depending on what characters a requested the most-it's what they said.

Only because you don't know how to use him, his only weakness was low health.
That one is by far the most interesting Akuma ever made. Shin Akuma feels exactly like regular Akuma except more broken. However, Oni could of been too broken as well but they balanced him off.

Really want to see Alex in this game please no more 3rd Strike repeats. Obviously R.Mika is in that was a dead give away a while back when Kuma had on her costume and it was said that costumes of "in" game characters can be swapped if's she's not then fooled the hell outta me. Karin and Sakura for rivalry reasons, and hoping honda makes it just because he's one of the remaining world warriros we've yet to hear anything about.

These guest characters are a waste of space - all funds, resources, etc...used to create these 5 characters (Fat Mega, Cole, The cats, Pac-Man) could've been used to create characters actually belonging to the SF/Tekken universe that, chances are, we probably won't see now.
For instance, when the final product hits the shelves, and there's no Bryan Fury, you could say...
"maaaan Cole could've been Bryan..."
I feel all resources should be used throwing in characters strictly from SF and Tekken universes. But I'm sure whoever's missing, will be thrwon into the next iteration

1. Ono states explicitly in his Twitter that the guest characters DID NOT take up a slot of any non-guest character.
2. Sony paid for these guest characters and there is no mention that these are timed exclusives. For all we know, the money Sony gave to Capcom was to pay for the extra development of these characters.

my opinion is that it's fake. on eventhubs earlier this week he talked about that he's not doing any type of gem dlc until the users reactions. sure the colors may be real
but seriously? guy and cody/ christie and elena as dlc? i don't believe it for one moment. ono hasn't even hinted that their would be dlc chars.
but whatever, well just see what goes down in the future. you never know

Lmao that BBA Megaman AKA Beer Belly Megaman looks a bit like E Honda but in a Mega Man costume. So hilarious. Speaking of Honda, I really hope he's in SFxT and it wouldn't right by having 11 SF2 world warriors WITHOUT Honda in the game. It wouldn't make sense at all. Also, even though this is a long shot, I would like to see Lee Chaolan from Tekken. He's a great character imo.

My guess is Pacman will play like a random person from Namco each round and Mega Man will do the same for Capcom. That's what they probably mean by them not taking away a slot from a character. Each character will borrow half the casts skill sets not having their own. All they really take up is the skin. I enjoyed playing with Mokujin? and Edgemaster just to mix things up.
