I REALLY hope that stage select format isn't final. 11 stages would be pathetic compared to the caracters. As for gems... I don't care anymore...

Yeah stages are becoming less and less an important issue in fighting games lately it is a shame. I was hoping that after the complaints from SF IV games that Capcom would at least address this issue here. I guess time doesn't allow for more than 11 for now. I would love to see some DLC stages down the line. Still hoping that perhaps as part of the 25th Anniversary that we might be getting some classic stages DLC or characters perhaps..? We will see

I actually expected Capcom to remake some Tekken stages. the Devil stage from Tekken 2 with the mirrors would be awesome, especially if the background music is the same (or at least a good remix)

#3 thats not an issue with Mk9, which has like 20+ stages plus multiple variants of some of them (with different daytime)...so MK9 has equal amount of characters with stages...

stages and story only. Don't worry about new mechanics, characters, or concepts. Don't bother with balance either. Give DLC every month after release (even though that would be impossible to balance), and add characters that were only in one game/were clones of existing characters/never achieved popularity/had a flawed moveset making them not effective in a fight.
Oops I got mad. dang it eventhubs.

#10 remember Ono said he'll announce bosses in February? ...i'm pretty sure both Akuma and Ogre will get announced in mid February...

#11 You know i don't get theses reveals everyone knows whats coming up i honestly can't see the point in hiding away theses chars on the last hurdle, it's pretty much complete a early release should be announced, Then again i'd like the game to be balance so it's cool. Yeah forgot about akuma to

#12...well they've always been doing it and they're unlikely to change this scheme...but honestly if i were developer i'd announce the whole roster right away! LOL

#13 Amen to that.. so would i but it would proberly spoil the excitement for some people its like showing the ending of a game that hasnt released yet. Well thats how i feel bout it.

#14 LOL dunno...i always thought there's other way to keep people excited...

Really good and solid roster to say the least. Tournament mode for gameplay with no gems is certainly going to shut some people up.

I don't want to sounded panic but did they f-ck up the button check already?
If you look at the button set up screen. It looks like they use the same system as SF4 where you use the stick. And not the Hit the button too set it up.
That means player are still going to the match to check if there buttons are working.
Posted by Ninjanuity on January 27, 2012 at 2:14 p.m. #19
@18 Yeah, the main reason players do a button check is not just to set buttons, but to check if their controller is working properly.

@18 so then they need to stop being cheap and bring their own controllers.

Remember a time when we actually waited for a game to be released and then played all the exciting new surprises for the first time. I had seen everything there was to see about mvc3 before it was released, kinda gay imo. It's like watching a game that your not allowed to play yet, and then when you do get to play it, nothing has that same oomph, it's like we purposely give ourselves spoilers ( like the ending to an movie). You'll still end up watching it, but it loses a lot of cool when you know exactly what's gonna happen, eg, supers and ultras
