I thought they quit this cuz everyone learned how pointless it was. You never learn anything new from this stuff.
They're to secretive to admit it but I think that Capcom may be brewing something up. Call me an idiot but I love this company to much to think that they don't really care about their fans. I mean yeah they're greedy, manipulative, and will easily sell their souls for a quick buck but deep-down I think they do realize that they've screwed up and let a lot of people down.
On the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 DLC front though Marvel might not deliver what fans want. Mainly because they've been pushing for characters THEY want to publicize and have been very deaf to fan demands. For example, Marvel HAS a Guardians of the Galaxy movie planned and who did we get that I'm sure no one asked for? Rocket Raccoon. So I'm certain Gambit has no chance, Juggernaut has no chance and even *sobs* my old time comic book favorite, Silver Surfer (despite him never being in any previous installment) has no chance.
Capcom may be heartless but I'm sure we'll get more out of them than we might think.
"We'll see what happens" ..said SVEN.
Just a couple of reminders. Capcom said they'll do more depending on how the game sells. Now it's obvious that they are looking at sells figures to see if it's worth it to do another version. Also to point out, that Capcom wants to do a full disk version rather than DLC characters. I have no clue why everyone thought they are doing DLC characters.
Think about it, the way they are doing DLC characters seems like they are adding lots of character which would cost more if someone bought them all. Also to point out that they would want those characters in tournaments (DLC characters don't work for tournaments) It seems that they maybe planning on adding those last 8 characters that didn't make it in. So if they do more and add those last characters, it's going to be UMvC 3 Arcade Edition or something to that extent or possibly a DLC pack which includes all of the 8 characters. But more than likely it would probably be all on the disc.
i hate when ppl ask stupid questions that everybody asks, like is he the game or when is it coming out. instead of asking questions that they hear all the time why dont you try and confuse them abit and make them think about their anwser. they might say something stupid. for example instead of asking "is megaman Dlc in the MVC3?" ask "hey why did capcom make megaman a Dlc costume instead of a real character, was it to save time or money?" this will make them think about it for a second and might say something they shouldnt have.
I think Storm is lonely in the game she needs her husband.
I would like to see DLC character packs for UMVC3 and SFXT personally I don't think it will happen but if we could get CVS2 with the 3SO treatment that would be sick
About DLC for UMVC 3 : personally i doubt interest in this game is high enough, and when the likes of SF X T and Soul Calibur 5 hit the shelves it will probably lose even more steam. On the other hand they did tell us that they where supposedly planning on having 24 new characters in UMVC3 (if not mistaken) and cause of the game rushing into production they didn't. So it makes you wonder if those extra 12 characters will in fact make it in a future DLC-only update
As for the 25th anniversary i'm hoping for some cool merchandise that won't cost an arm and a leg to buy. It would also be cool if they added a couple of Street Fighter 1 characters as DLC for SF X T sometime after the August 2012 timeline they mention :-) Not to mention the actual SF 1 game as just a freebie for fun's sake
"The implementation of certain things on the PC is tricky, particularly some of the online aspects."
Having online games on a PC is a very new and radical idea so it's expected to cause problems and confusion.
