Looks like all that training Fuudo has put in against other top Ryu's has finally paid off. All the gachis were showing him beating the crap out of every Ryu but always losing to Daigo's in a set.

Guys I have a offtopic question.
I just played with Guile vs a Makoto player. Green bar, first round I took half his life pretty fast. And suddenly it became laggy as hell, I couldn't do anything anymore and he was kicking my ass and I lost.
After the "fight" there was still a green bar.

Is that a lag switch or what?
Of course I kicked him, I refuse to play against a fraud like that.

DAMN!!!

NO wonder Daigo has been keeping dat ae2012 ryu under wraps, he's discovered some MAD CRAZY new tech!! Did you know that crMK can be comboed into fireball? Is this known?!?!

Also, HP shoryus are now safe on block apparently, although Fuudo was stil managing to punish them...

@33 That is random lag which could of been caused by anything. It doesn't mean he caused it himself, it could be someone downloading something on either players internet or the providers themselves. Lagswitches cut the connection, not limit it. I would know, I was a GoW 1 glitcher. I hate it when people assume it's a lagswitch yet they don't realise they don't work on games unless the person using it is the host and players directly connect to them.
tl:dr Lagswitches don't work on SF and they don't create lag, but freezes the game for the person it's done too.

okay then

show me this arcade card data, I'm waiting...

oh wait, you don't have it, nobody has it, because its all BS

No evidence, no videos, no data = did not happen

Daigo played like an absolute scrub against Fuudo, so bad that if you removed the name daigo from the video people would have just assumed it was any random online scrub playing fuudo instead. How many times did he screw up the solar plexus link? How many times did he wake up DP and get punished by backdash? I lost count.

Maybe daigo's spending too much time having his joystick sucked in the madcatz booth to remember how to play properly. He hasn't been in america since evo, that says a lot.

silly logic winston?

you sound like the sort of person who would be happy to criminally convinct someone for murder with no evidence.

I could go online right now, create a website and just post a load of scores of daigo playing random top japanese players, make them up and have gullible people believe every word of it.

Call me old fashioned, but I believe in evidence, not hearsay.

People post winrates and BP weekly, for starters.
If all those matches he won did not happen or he lost them, it would not add up with the data.

And yes, a silly couch warrior with a grudge could make a website with the sole purpose to spread false info, but that would be silly and not help with anything.

It's not like you need to lie about Daigo to know he is an incredibly strong and consistent player for the last 15 years.
You can live in denial all you want, it is hella amusing for the rest.

I'm sad about Haitani not beating Daigo, but I so badly want to see his Makoto play. Insane character variety.

yes, shame on me for wanting some actual evidence of these so called arcade matches. Of course, a blind, dumbass daigo dick sucking fanboy like yourself is more than happy to lap up any pro daigo BS thrown in your general direction whether it's true or not. Lap it up son, lap it up.

One thing you won't be lapping up though is that match against fuudo because damn... daigo was bad.

Lol Maybe this statement could've held true, save for the part where you have NO credit at all, these arn't some random dudes posting the scores, it's people like Zhi, Hsien Chang, and Fubarduck. Now, if you can give me a logical reason to how lying about some scores benefits them in anyway, maybe I could believe you.

Also, you know what my evidence for Daigo winning is? Evo champ 2 years in a row. You're gonna tell me a guy who went undefeated 2 years in 2 1000 men tournaments isn't gonna win alot of matches?

What happen to you guys tier lists? They are constantly changing because they are NOT TRUE. Tier lists are always changing because it is false. What IS true is that you can win with ANY character in here based on the player.

@#82
Tier lists are about how characters compare to each other.
Characters have specific tools and these dictate match-ups.
Saying they are not true is retarded.
The reason they change is because people discover more and mroe about a game.

And yes, big pearl of wisdom there, who would have thought that the most important part is the actual player.

I sometimes wonder why I even read the comments

and how do you know these guys can even keep count during the sets? Personally, I couldn't give a toss what fubarduck or hsien chang saw, if they can't record it and show the world then I don't give a crap.

daigo was evo champ 2 years in a row, okay, so? Plus I'll ignore the fact that there were hardly any other top japanese players there during the years he won it. I'll also ignore the fact that daigo never wins any significant japanese tourney like sbo or godsgarden.

That's in the past, I don't care about the past, I care about the present. Daigo is a shadow of what he was, the beast went on a tier whoring crusade with yun, failed miserably now returns to what looks like a very rusty, washed up ryu. I'm not impressed.

@konachan
if you want to talk about embarrassing, lets talk about daigo's performance against fuudo first.

So much trolling here :).

Daigo played well against Fuudo. Didn't look scrubby at all. Actually he looked very strong.

Game #1, he gets hit by random wakeup Ultra vs cr.MP, it was full ultra because he was winning by a lot. But he was out playing Fuudo by quite a bit.

Game #2, he misses SPS link, gets hit with full ultra because he was winning by a lot. Second round, drops SPS again! In both links he missed by pressing the cr.HP early.

Game #3, misses SPS link (the DP this time) again. Overall he gets outplayed in the game.

Bottom line: Daigo is still better than you. And will still be very good. Saying he looks like a scrub is pretty funny and just show what an idiot you are.

onostolemybike: There is an english word for people like you - I-D-I-O-T. <- sound it out.

Daigo failed miserably with Yun? He was top 8 in EVERY SINGLE TOURNAMENT he entered. Of the three US tournaments he entered he WON twice and came 4th. You call that failing?

IDIOT. You are a complete IDIOT.

Okay dude you're trolling, how can you say he played well againt fuudo

"Bottom line: Daigo is still better than you"

Bottom line I don't play this game 9 hours a day and neither does most the people here, because I prioritize more important things in life than a mediocre incarnation of street fighter.

oh you mean those 2 american tournies daigo won when AE had been out a mere 6 days on console?

yeah, that was big of daigo. Beating up americans with his 6+ month experience of yun against their 6 days of experience with AE. I'm sure 90% of the american players at that tourney had no idea how to deal with yun.

So yeah, big round of applause for daigo for taking advantage of his massive head start. Whoope fookin doo

@#83:Tier lists being NOT tru is the truth because if they were THEY WOULD NOT CHANGE. They would not be subject to change. Do you understand this simple concept? For example, you don't have Seth rank low tier then all of a sudden since Poongko did well with him BUMP him up the charts, no because the character did not do that and there was nothing new that we found out about that character it was the player's intuition ans skill that got it done. Regardless of the character.

Yes, he only came 4th at evo and 3d at SBO. Let's ignore other tourneys he won in Japan as well, or other majors around the world. Or an 82% win rate in Arcades where many other top plays played and rotating 1st/2nd with Kazunoko. And for a version of SF you do not care, you sure waste a lot of time with things concerning it.
And if had you any good reasoning to discredit their reports besides 'I do not believe it wah, wah', you would have presented it.
Did he rape you or something? Cause unless it's personal, I cannot fathom how someone could be that stupid

@#89
Now, the other idiot.
Players make the tier lists based on their CURRENT KNOWLEDGE.
Unless they have PERFECT knowledge about all the characters, all 1521 match-ups and everything that can be done with this engine, the tier list will change.
The PLAYERS determine how the game is played and what works, and tier lists are a reflection of that given moment.
That does not make them false. And since they talk about characters, they do not take into account the human, factor, aka the player. If good players do not play some characters for some time, misconceptions can happen

Fighting games evolve like that. If you want to oversimplify everything and ignore what the tier lists represent and how the games are played, then yeah, I guess tier lists can never be 100% correct.

82% win ratio? Is that all, I thought he was 'THE BEAST'. Shouldn't beating him be like a rare thing? He loses way too much for someone sooooo overhyped.

Actually his win ratio is under 80%, but you're a bit infatuated with him I think, so I'll let you of.

Everybody knows sakonoko is more talented than daigo, the only difference is sako doesn't play 9 hours a day and doesn't whore out boring over-used generic snore fest characters like ryu. Oh ryu... so original, never see people playing ryu or anything.

@#93
Up until 2012 rolled about when he used yun.
Less than 10 people in all of japan had better win ratios (Michael Tan was first with 85).
It's interesting that you think winning 80% of 9000 matches is not good, but hey.

At least you make it obvious with each comment you post that you are trying too hard.

oh and why was he using yun? Can you say tier whoring?

And where is his yun now? In the trash, dropped like the tier whore he is.

win ratios mean nothing to me, it depends who he played. 90% of those matches could have been against sub-standard players. Chances are it was, because you wouldn't get an 80% win ratio if you only played sakonoko.

bit like justin wong's 300 consecutive win record, who did he play again? yeah... say no more.

Your argument makes so little sense it's not even funny. First you go and question if these guys can even count or not..seriously? Next you expect them to record, when it's not allowed at the arcade? Yeah they're totally gonna risk getting kicked out for your pleasure.

Evo is kinda a big deal, meaning winning 2 years in a row isn't just 'so?'. Nice logic, no japanese players = easy tournament, and you say other people are dickriding? And if this holds true, where were all the japanese top players that came out to EVO 2K11? ELIMINATED. By american players no less.

Now, can you explain to me how his Yun failed? I'd say his win ratio is about 95% with his Yun soo..No failing there. Also you're gonna call him a rusty washed up Ryu based on 1 match? Hahaha wait atleast till the tourney is over so you don't eat your words too much if he does end up winning.

Whatever, you're probably gonna come up with something dumb to this like 'I DUNT GIVE A F*CK I ONLY TRUST EVIDENCE, SCREW LOGICAL SENSE' You what there is evidence towards though? The people on this website hate you, but I guess you don't give a f*ck bout that either. Anyways I'm done say anything you want.

^#92: 1st of all I gave Poongko praise for using a supposedley LOW tier Seth [ranked by the so called top players]who is supposedley not "tournament viable." Yet guess what Poongko goes on and RAPES with Seth even won the Shadowloo tournament and places well at Evo with low tier. But then he jumps up the Tier charts, why you ask BECAUSE he was winning with the low tier character. Has nothing to do with NEW information, lol what a load of crap.

Can't wait till some no name wins a tournament or places well with Dan. Then he will be high tier, lololol.

I thought you daigo fanboys were a hardened bunch, I guess not.

lots of japanese players have won american tournies so I don't really care if daigo has won some, that doesn't make him stand out,

nor does losing 4 out of 5 first to ten matches in godsgarden2. daigo's overhyped bs at its finest
