Maximilian posted a new video, today this video discusses the character announcements in Street Fighter X Tekken. These characters being Vega, Balrog, Xiahyou, Juri, Paul and Law. He also talks about the new 2v2 player modes that we have been seeing a lot of videos for lately.
Street Fighter X Tekken is less than two months away, and the character reveals are coming in by the half dozen. There's also several rumors and speculation running wild about the remainder of the cast. We address this in the video, and I mention some of my wish list characters to show up in the game.
My biggest concern with the gems in tournament play is regarding the time needed to setup gems for every character you may play as, or counter pick with.
The recent video from Games radar showed that there are a multitude of default loadouts for each character. These loadouts are centered on either Attack Gems, Defense Gems, or Speed. Personally I'd be fine if we settled on a default gems only rule.

1 : PAUL'S FACE LOOKS LIKE A CHEEZE BALL
2 : HEIHACHI MISHIMA LOOKS LIKE A DWARF WHO JUST LOST 300 POUNDS OF FAT AND NOW HAS ROLLS OF LOOSE SKIN
3 : LAW LOOKS LIKE HE WENT TO A MODELLING AGENCY AND HAD HIS DIET CHANGED TO EATING FISH STICKS AND DRINKING BOTTLE WATER - THE DUDE IS ANOREXIC AS HELL
4 : LING XIAOYU IS ACTUALLY PRETTIER WITH HER BIG BROWN EYES AND SMALLER FACE IN THIS GAME THAN IN TEKKEN
To be honest, I just hope the Gems aren't as important to the game as Capcom has been hyping them to be.
I'd hate to end up with a fighting game where you have to rip off all of its style in order to make it competitive. Same reason why Smash Bros became no fun once a couple of my friends went that route and refused to play anything other than no items, one on one, and one boring map...
Not really a fair comparison, with one being a fighter and the other being a party game, I just worry is all.

They look awesome now! They have style and some personality! Somthing Tekken characters are sorely lacking!
Not everyone needs to look Sleek and Angry all the time. Save that for Jin and Kazuya.

First off, I just wanna say that 5:20 joke almost made me spit up my drink...
Anyway, in terms of that leaked list, I say we've got a pretty good chance of it being legit. And this is coming from a guy who lol's at any "leaked" B.S list. And that's from the Megaman leak alone. It said that it was going to be the BBA Megaman, and look at that, it's true. It also noted that Pacman will be riding Mokujin, similar to Tron Bonne. If that's also true, then the list HAS to be real.

Exactly, if the list is true, then that means there will be 11 original SF2 World Warriors in SFxT WITHOUT E Honda. Oh dear....he doesn't deserve that at all lol.

Hmm, this can't be right. It wouldn't make any sense to have all the SF2 World Warriors but without Blanka and Honda in the mix. Also, I would like to see Lee Chaolan in SFxT but its very unlikely though since Capcom have already designed the characters during the time when the game was in its early development stages.
Here are two easy ways to fix the gems:
1- Main Menu -> Options -> Gems -> Disable -> Yes/No
2- Main Menu -> any single/multiplayer mode -> *prompt that tells you if you want to use gems* -> Yes/No
See ? Easy as pie and no hassle. Want to throw a tournament with no gems ? Alright, you can.
That's the major problem I have with gems: they're mandatory, unlike Pandora Mode which is not. Just like in UMvC3 where you don't absolutely need X-Factor, Team Aerial Combos and Snapbacks to win EVERY match, gems shouldn't something that forces you to use whether you like it or not.
