GameSpot's HotSpot interviews Ono about Street Fighter X Tekken

GameSpot uploaded an episode of their show The HotSpot where they talk to Yoshinori Ono about his history with Street Fighter, character choices for Street Fighter X Tekken, balancing the franchises together, balancing hardships in past fighting games and development time.

He also talks about market distribution models for fighting games, motion technology incorporation in fighting games, Tekken x Street Fighter and future crossovers.

I was thinking that as well - I don't know of anyone currently announced that they'd need the skeleton effect for (I could be wrong). So Blanka, Viper, Necro, ???. Probably Blanka - I can already see the twitter pic of Ono obscuring Blanka with his own figurine.

To be honest, I would be kinda pissed if Viper is in this one. Like she isn't getting top ranking enough in AE already and and not to mention her presence in Marvel.

Rufus inclusion is also stupid. I would have wished Hakan would be picked instead of top tier Rufus

Unfortunately, guest character Cole's entire schtick electric attacks so this is far from a confirmation of anything. While I'm a bit too lazy to check, I wouldn't be surprised if Kazuya's famous uppercut and other similar moves didn't have the effect, as well.

Pandora: It should lessen your life bar to 1 instead of a time limit, so it forces the other player to fight you at some point, instead of running away. esp cuz this game has alot of Teleport chars. it will be hard for every char. to kill them if its time based. Now if its life, they might want to fight you still to make ur life go down much faster, but with time its just playing keep away. Spread this idea. blast his twitter!! lol

@10 alot of teleport characters? this isnt umvc3,anyways Its kinda funny how he give away that blanka is in the game but we kinda already knew that also I wouldnt want viper in either she is recking people in ae and is crazy in mvc3 I think she got enough love......love the Legend of dragoon ost

Nahh, Ono pulled a Seth. It's just like when Seth was mentioning how Storm works in Vanilla MvC 3. It's obvious now Blanka's in. The question is, who's Blanka's partner?

@11 Yes Teleport chars. call it whatever you want, but Yoshimitsu. Akuma, M.Bison, Dhalsim, and Seth all teleport. each has different names but it instantly (or in Akuma's case its over time) gets you from one side of the screen to the other side. I see no better word for that.

I became an avid listener to The Hotspot about 3 years ago when Sirlin was interviewed about HD Remix and SF4. Magrino's the host now and it sucks.

Magrino's a little too juvenile for my taste, but still passable. Tom McShea's still very entertaining.
