Keeping the Street Fighter X Tekken content flowing, GameTrailers also put up some gameplay footage of the two cats, Toro and Kuro, duking it out. This set is also played in 4 player Scramble mode.

They are Ryu/Kazuya clones, so no new move sets, and simple models. They were probably made in a week...

Toro and Kuro are Japanese Sony Mascots only in the Playstation versions(anyone else notice this was the PS3 version!?) and if not for gief's OP lariat and such short range on those guys normal I think it could have been hype.

And to those complaining about these 2 cats:

-They're 2 characters on a roster of 51 characters, and were likely easier to add than other characters, I doubt they "took someone's spot."

-Hornet (the racecar from Daytona USA), Bean, and Bark didn't make Fighters Megamix a joke. Gon didn't make Tekken 3 a joke. Servbot didn't make Marvel 2 a joke (although I like Servbot). They didn't ruin the game. Pretty harmless.

#12, You put Fred Flinstone in a SF game and I guarantee the amount of money paid to you to have him put there offsets the amount of money loss due of people not buying the game because of an idiotic move like that.

So what do you really gain when you lose buyers? Oh hey you get a nice high five from the vp of Sony because you put the mascot/fred into the game. You're a smart guy.

AnaboliChris come on man with something as stupid as Yoda and Darth Vader being in the last soul calibur I'd say making blind predictions like that with 100% confidence is a little uncalled for. I choose that in particular because It's one of the most absurd and recent additions I can think of. They really make no sense in the soul calibur world (freddy krueger was werid but his gory/cheesy nature at least fit). Funny thing is I almost never saw anybody talk about them and the franchise seems to be gaining popularity.

Also yeah these 2 really couldn't have take anybody's slot. They are Ryu/Kazuya and Sony's mascot. I'm sure they had little work to do.

what ever happened to the seriousness of the game? heck, for all i know the'll put in elmo. why not, you seem to have no problem with this game becoming a circus.

as i said before, one may have been ok, but two of them is just ridiculous.

Teapo, I wouldn't bother. People who say things like "Capcom forced Phoenix Wright on us" won't listen to any kind of logical reasoning. No matter how many fan polls he won.

And, darko_p86, having a Capcom crossover game without a joke character or two in it went out the window a LONG time ago. With the exception of XMvsSF, no Versus game has been without a joke character.

Um...in a SOPACOM game size is ALWAYS A disadvantage unlike Chen and Yuri in KoF

SOPACOM makes their Attack box small yet their hurtbox about normal (always bigger than their size) So they can get hit and grabbed easier...
AND their life is low to boot
AND their speed isnt that great either.

you're right with joke characters. what i said about "seriousness" is by me not wanting to see this being turned into something completely different.

i LOVED Dan as a joke character. and getting Mokujin would be amazing. just...these..."things" what is this? cute cuddly and lovely duking it out with the big boys. that just doesn't fit together. im talking about in comparison to other things. like lets say they add kazuya or Akuma into the Winnie the Pooh show. my point exactly! they just would't fit in there. all i'm trying to say is keep it to a certain extent, keep it to a certain reason. seriously, what was wrong with Dan? but to go as far as put something cute and cuddly in here just doesn't fit. would you be ok if Pooh joined the cast, or maybe Ronald McDonald? exactly! ok so they made one...fine! i guess, but two???

anabolichris I didn't make the fred flinstone remark that was some other dude using hyperbole. Mario is nintendo's mascot. He is not considered a fighter. Smash bros came out. He was given a moveset (which actually is a little shoto esque). Toro and Kuro are the mascot of Sony they decide to make some silly easter egg like characters they took the easy route.

couldn't u have put them next to the capcom logo at the beginning of the game or something or made them only playable in scramble
or made a little game like namco did with all the exclusive characters that you want in rpg

ITT: FGC acting like a bunch of girls; they don't know what they want. Apparently Phoenix Wright was forced onto us even though he was the number 1 (or 2 behind strider) voted on character for Capcom. I guess you can't have fun in video games.
