Lynaken sent in a gigantic set of new match stats from Japan, with players like MCZ|Daigo Umehara, MCZ|Tokido, eLive|Kazunoko, Iyo, Fuudo and many other very notable names playing matches in Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v2012.Hit the jump for many more stats.
That Ryu used for the post image looks like he's about to turn evil.
Oh look....Guy having trouble against charged characters and grapplers. Nothing new there X_X.
good to see daigo body stupid sim players. i hate sim so much. that 8-0 makes me so happy! honestly gonna continue to play whether i win or lose but i will level up one day. these stats are very nice by the way! thanks for posting all of this
I believe fei long still needs to be nerfed even more,
He is very hard to punish to his misses.
And his rekka damage is still too high, I think they should make him take longer to recover from a missed rekka or flame kick.
I play mainly cammy and (Ryu, Ken , Akuma) , I only know how to deal with him with cammy

It was only Daigo's skill with Ryu that made those matches even close. Any other Ryu would have fallen 5-0 to P.Champ's Dhalsim (maybe not Valle,idk).
The match was so lopsided. Not sure how much better I became for Ryu. Maybe this Sim player wasn't as good as P.Champ? 8-0 is pretty extreme.
@13
It's certainly possible this SIM player is not at Champ's level. Or maybe Dhalsim got nerfed... Can't remember...
Actually, I think Valle has played Champ's dhalsim. It was pretty one-sided. Valle is good but not at Daigo's level. Daigo is ryu haha
That sim is one of the best sims on Xbox Live... He was in the front page today. Shiro's lobby.
Has Daigo ever been in losers before top 32 , top, 16 top 8 in SF4, SSF4, AE ina U.S. major? Daigo downloads pretty quick.
the so-called "tier list" seems to be changing. RYU is not as high as people were first talking. And Seth's record doesn't seem as convincing as it was initially.
As far as players, looks like Daigo, Iyo, and Fuudo are improving while Kazunoko is plateau-ing out, and Mago is unsure about his main. I wonder what Daigo is doing with Ryu to be THAT dominant... a true PRO. I'd like to see this Cody/Fransujin too.
Interesting to see Mago switching back to Fei Long, though that match he had with Daigo doesn't seem to be as convincing as the set he had in GodsGarden 2010.
Amazed to see Daigo doing so well with Ryu, doing really well against some of Ryu's worst matchups. (Dhalsim and Fei)
@35
LOL, well I see you point, but really he is still too powerfull.
Of course I could be wrong on this, I've been only playing SSF4 AE for a couple of months now, so I am far from experienced
But generally speaking more balanced characters = more fun.
whats a scrub by the way, i am sort of new to this forum, i know its bad, but how bad is it to be a scrub?
You do know he has very little comeback potential all he has is rekkas, he can no longer do flame kick fadc cwing in the corner, because of the damage nerfs he barely can hurt characters where his chicken wing juggles only 2 hits.
If the Fei player does a unsafe rekka you got a free srk punish, if they do 2 rekkas you can do whatever and some characters can punish with ultra over a minor mistake from the Fei, the rekka itself does barely no chip damage now.
He has very little amount of tools to use for mixups as this game is alot about knockdowns, all he has is cross up jump mp for mixups, nerfing him even more would make his gameplay so linear than it already is that he wont even be fun to play go back to training mode and learn to play the MU instead of whining.
@10
fei was better than this version in super and people didn't complain. I don't see guy players complain about zangief spd range. You play (cammy, ryu, ken, akuma) all of them who can hold there own with fei effectively.
cammy - has close st.lp to sweep, air throw, dive-kick special...
ryu - his low forward now tag's fei out-side his affective zone. He has a st.lp to sweep
ken - up close his 50/50's are amazing with his kara throw. Best low forward in the game.
akuma - amazing ground game after you get a knock-down.
fei - you can't afford to do a 2nd rekka at all. You must be on point at all times. Flame-kick damage nerf, Chicken-wing hitbox nerf, damage nerf. If you don't space it right it will whiff. Flame kick fadc ultra timing is character specific (to get the 3rd hit). He doesn't have a stand-jap to sweep...
It's interesting to see that everyone have problem with Yio Ibuki. The guys should start to look up to his match stats too.
