Super Street Fighter 4 AE 2012: Top arcade player profiles incl. Daigo and TKD

Lynaken has written in to show us some arcade player profiles from Japan. Unlike the match statistics this is just a general overview of a player's records.

Sent in yesterday, these statistics are comprehensive for Daigo and become a bit less detailed as the rankings progress. Notable points include the top-ranked Guile Yazu's 80% win rate and Daigo's maximum consecutive win number of 36 with Ryu.

#3 is correct. The BP system is a skill-based grind, but it's still a grind and Daigo spent the better part of a year not playing Ryu. The fact that he's top 33 with a character he just started playing again means that he's playing A LOT.

I think they mis-typed it.

It's supposed to be 1,231 matches as 986/1,231 = 0.80097 which is the decimal equivalent of 80.01%

there's a sagat player by the name of Shinigakuto who is climbing up the rankings even faster than daigo is. hes come out of no where with a 89% win rate. i cant wait to find out more about this guy

That could be right considering the statistics are based off of when AE started, not AE v.2012. Remember, it's his Ryu record, not his overall record.

Wow, surprised that guile's win percent is so good. He's got some tough countermatches that I would think would keep his percentage below that. Yazu must be skilled.

Daigo playing Ryu again, I wonder how Uncle Alex Valle must feel! I'm sure he can't wait for that mirror match at EVO. I can see their relationship akin to Goku and Vegeta's feud. (oh my! DBZ reference!)

someone needs to do an expose on the bad players of japan. if there is someone with 80% wins there has to be someone with like 30% wins

They avoid playing stronger players
I played vs the stronger players at tato station most the time
My win % dropped
When started being picky n went playing only the ones i can easily beat
I rose 20%
My friend had an 86% win rate just by playing at "Hey" arcade

When he played at taito game station
He droped to 56%
Who u play makes a big difference
