@3 Any situation where you Gimlet--incliding a TK Gimlet--a grounded opponent outside of a combo or blockstring (ie. throw out a random Gimlet) the opponent can get a free tag through the super.
Note that this does not stop the Hawkeye player from DHCing or using their XFC. However, at the right distance, the tag in can hit him out of trying to DHC if he waited for a hit confirm cancel.
The tag in is neutral (or no worse than +/-1) with Hawkeye's recovery. The idea is sometimes some people will just say, "screw it, random super to chip out," and Gimlet does a pretty decent job of getting a chunk of chip damage. With things like Chaotic Flame, if your opponent switches, they will save their character and eat a super on the next. With Gimlet, they get off scott free.
When will people realize that Vergil and Wesker combos are no longer at all entertaining.
See, no good player would ever do a random gimlet when the opponent is on the ground unless they have them in arrow blockstun and want to chip them out, or they did something extremely unsafe and they want to punish it. The point is to shoot arrows when they are on the ground and gimlet them when they jump at you. . . .
That gimlet trick is old, you're not safe very often since Hawkeyes will only release their last shot on a sure thing.
@14 Unless your dark Phoenix, then He shoots randomly, but this trick is very old indeed, and I thought everyone knew any quick movement out of gimlet's shot trejectory avoids the attack..
Gimlet hits in a straight line toward the point character, If u super jump and Hawkeye shoots as ur falling out of the super jump the shot misses... I laughed my azz off when I super jumped shot a tk shot mistakenly trying to dash and hawkeye shot gimlet to punish, only Phoenix Just Casually fell to safety...
