Japanese online Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 play with Thor, Ryu and Rocket Raccoon

SMOAI2010 managed to capture a stream of a player on the Japanese UMvC3 network playing a team of Thor, Ryu and Rocket Raccoon. Later on he switches it up a bit by including Spencer, Haggar and Doctor Doom.

Titled "Thor's Ultimate Mighty War: The Motion Picture" the videos also feature in-game text from the characters just like in old turn-based strategy games. This is in Japanese though so you'll need to know the language to mostly follow with what they are saying.

The Japanese have some really creative and whacky teams! Wish us Americans were same, sick of seeing Wesker in 80% of teams.

If I'm not mistaken the first thing Thor says in the first video is "Mighty Konichiwa" or Mighty Greeting/Hello lmao. This should be pretty funny

This is pretty much a story of his 3 characters talking and interacting about their matches/opponents/situations. It's a pretty neat and funny idea.
I didn't catch all of it, but some of the stuff they "say" is pretty hilarious.

@2 OMG I know that is why I really dont watch the replay fights that come up on here or even any where. Unless they are playing with someone that gets no love like Arthur or someone else. WESKER/ DOOM/ just another character because its 3 on 3

I like Japanese Marvel. It's interesting to see how they play and they rock some interesting teams but Strider is kind of like the Japanese Wesker if you notice; the dude's on a heck of a lot of JP teams. Also #2 if you haven't noticed, American Marvel has gotten more and more diverse. If I can recall, Marvel is also not a one character game like SF so if you are only seeing Wesker then it looks like we have two different copies. :D

I respect anyone who uses Thor and Rocket Raccoon, but I watched the first match and it was painfully boring play. I mean, I know it's not their job to amuse me, but the guy barely even managed to pull off an ABC combo. Maybe it gets better later on...

@9 and i loved THAT THEY COULD NOT PULL IT OFF/ they did not use it. I love that they are doing different stuff, even though its the same Magneto combo but still its different.

Japanese play is so bad, just saw sent drones spam from full screen and the other player acted like super jumping doesn't exist.

You can tell Ryu's basically going COME AT ME BRO and Rocket suddenly bursts in with ROCK AND ROOOOOLL. Ryu spends the rest of the match going "wtf, that was my kill"

Haggar then explains that he's hungry for a nice rotisserie chicken.
