Maximilian has a summary of Episode 11 below for you.
Fighting games have come a long way when it comes to online combat. But there's some things that need to change to keep things interesting and entertaining if games like this want to compete with other heavy hitting multiplayer monsters. Netcode is important, but here we talk about matchmaking and the online process of pairing you with opponents.
Nice as always. Only thing I disagree with is when he said take out the ability to downgrade. Thats needed because if your losing so much that you end up downgrading, then obviously you don't belong in the rank your in. So downgrading will let the matchup system know that you need to be put against lower level people.
The way you move,
To the Killer Groove.
Damn, I miss my Killer Cuts, thanks for reminding me of Killer Instinct :'(
@5: yeah, that’s pretty dumb for us european players. SSFIV does the same thing, so I just have to filter manually between overseas and Europa when looking for lobbies.
That's probably why I don't play Marvel online seriously, it seems it's catered more too serious players only. They need another online ranked mode where you can play anyone instead of people closer too example your high ranked. Maybe just give less points if you win or somethin'. I just don't feel any motivation too play ranked other than the 50 & 100 win trophies. Frank West said Tech/Dodge this too Trinity.
Wish UMvC3 had a tournament mode. I enjoyed that in SSF4.
