for those of us who bought these things as soon as they are released, we are mad. there's no incentive to buy on release day. we should all wait until it gets super cheap. i got SF4 PC when it was $39.99 and now it's less than $10. go figure!
@4 they never will for too many reasons. new moves for existing characters, new cutscenes, different trophies... i'm not even going to list them all. they didn't just throw in a bunch of extra characters and stages. still, i agree this is totally what they should've done. i really can't be bothered right now to complete the game with everyone again. was never able to get hyped for this game like vanilla.
@9 Correction, YOU are mad. I'm still happy I got my Shuma on release day.
#9 welcome to the world of commerce. You always pay a cheaper price down the road. It's how businesses work. It's usually a sign of a last ditch effort to get more sales off a product that started to decline in sales before a new product launches.
Why does everyone feel like a company "owes" them something. Why should there be an incentive for buying DLC when it releases? What kind of incentive do you expect to get? something free?
You do realize businesses spend money to produce a product then sell it to make a profit right? Mind blowing!
#14 Agreed enjoying a great game is priceless. Regardless of what people say I have enjoyed the heck out of the new capcom fighting games. The times and memories that I have with friends when we play these games are priceless.
i just got the dlc characters like 2 weeks ago, oh well it's just a few bucks i guess.
I didn't buy HD Remix right away when it was 14.99. I caught the discount Capcom put out and bought it for $4.99. I know many people out there don't play it, but it was something I wanted and something I wanted to learn. Sort of like a challenge for myself.
I don't know why you xbox guys are crying. Anybody remember every ssf4 costume for, what was it, somewhere around 9.99-15.99$? Was only on xbox. On a side note, is anybody else really nervous about this stupid ad on eventhubs? Has something to do with psychics? makes a giant bubble on the screen with no way to click it off...
so the alts r just for Shuma and Jill right
Guess I'll get'em now
They should have sold the option to change back the lifebar to Vanilla MVC3.
I wonder why they only did it for one console. Seems strange to have post launch console exclusive sales. Not mad or anything, I play the game on ps3, but it just doesn't make sense to me to limit the sale.
Just to be clear. If you buy/had bought the original MvC3 costume pack, would that make the collection pack they release later invalid? Does the ultimate costume collection pack even have the MvC3 costumes in it?
(Waiting for the complete costume pack, gogo discounts tho)
Jill and Shuma come Character DLC is bundled with their own alt costumes.
MvC3 Costume Pack (Thor, Ironman, Captain America, Ryu, Dante, Chris) will work on UMvC3 as well last time I checked.
If your goal is to save money, buy old stuff. If your goal is to use the costume before everyone else, but on release date. Simple.
One day they will discount the XBL players ;(
