Let me rephrase that...no safe spammable moves and one dimension pace such as balrog and bison.
AnaboliChris
that second comment basically killed your first one.
when will people will learn the damn game and stop whining about a move?
long live the scrub mentality.
but i know where is this going.
you destroyed yun,yang and feilong,now start crying about seth .
im still waiting for that comment to nerf dan dankukyaku.
abdelmajidtolba, How did my second like kill my first line when theyre the same sentence post essentially? I just went into specific by saying who the boring characters were.
No ones crying about Seth..I said hes exciting to play rather than a one dimensional character like most charge characters are. Stay dumb and free buddy.
@3
hes actually defending Seth...its Rog and Bison hes whining about. no character is boring in SF4. everyone has a certain play style. you dont like it? pick someone else. you cant be that spoiled. every character is in the game for a reason. theres nothing you can do about it except play them and learn how they work. come Evo or GG, what are you going to say? "i dont like this character...hes too boring. can i play someone else?" youd get laughed at. learn the match-ups and stop crying.
BisonBetterBeGoodInSSF4,
Thats not my point. I play at my local ranbats all the time and have no problem playing against the one dimensional characters. Having options or being more dimensional will always have an advantage over one dimensional or single option ;)
Oh and I do pick other characters..infact I pick everyone but these one dimensional characters..I've even tried bison for a week to understand the character and felt like I got dumber.
@9
Bison made you dumber? really? ok no comment on that. hes probably one of the most important spacers in the game and he made you dumber? Bison players have excellent spacing because if they dont time their Scissors properly they can get punished. if they dont know the range on their st. Forward/Roundhouse they can eat an AA or be out footsied. like i said, every character has their own trait. playing every character (or mostly) not only gives you an advantage in Match-up knowledge but also in understanding every aspect of the game (footsies, Zoning, AAing etc...). so if Bison made you dumber, i dont what else to say.
@11
a lot of them started with SF4 where combos where the highlight of the game. people dont remember how important spacing and footsies were in ST. thats why once in a while i go back and watch me some vids of guys like Takahashi, Muteki, Komodo, Pony, YuuVega etc... hell even Daigos zoning is fun to watch in ST. in SF4 all the majority of EventHubs fans want see are combos.
BisonBetterBeGoodInSSF4, you said it yourself. The only thing I needed to learn was spacing on scissor kicks and st. forward/rh. After that, I got bored and learned nothing.
wow, you guys flaming a guy because he just doesn't like two characters??? it's his opinion, he likes what he likes, there are other characters in the roster so everyone has options. The FGC has gotten very judgmental and quick with the name calling.
Why would PL practice AE at this point anyways now that version 2012 is out?
Also, he played very well with some tough breaks here (messing up a raging demon punish against a dropped poongko combo putting him in the corner, crossing Seth up while he's doing his cr.FP so the hitbox is altered, etc) as well as some very smart punishes by poongko (Ultra'ing the SRK FADC backdash, etc). Both players looked pretty even considering that both characters are glass cannons.
I really wish Perfect Legend had used far standing roundhouse > crouch forward link in any of his matches. He tags Poongko a lot with far standing roundhouse and he is at the right space where only crouch forward will reach. If he lands that link into a roundhouse tatsu, he wins some matches that he lost.
Also, every single Street Fighter game at some point boils down to footsies. All anyone thinks of for 3s is parrying, but A LOT of that game is footsies. Same for SF2 which is ridiculously footsie/zoning heavy and SF4 if you're playing at a high level. Even rushdown characters have to poke. Hell some of them like Dudley require that you REALLY know footsies since his pokes aren't that good and he doesn't have a very quick way to get in and pressure his opponents.
Characters like Seth/Akuma/Ibuki ..ect is what makes SF4 series exciting. All rush down and mixups...no safe spammable moves and one dimension pace.
