Capcom happy with Street Fighter 3's video upload, looking to use it more - Magneto replacement costume unlikely Stopping by on the Capcom-Unity boards again, Christian Svensson informed fans that they've been pretty happy with how Street Fighter 3 Third Strike Online Edition's video upload tool has worked out, and that they will be looking to use it more in the future.

He also added that Magneto is unlikely to see a replacement costume in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and cover why PC release dates lag behind those on console, among other things. Hit the link below to check out everything.

The video upload feature for Street Fighter 3 Third Strike Online Edition is awesome, but it seemed to break a few weeks back, what's up? Will we see this feature in future titles? — Hubcapsignstop

Svensson: Sorry... it was broke and it's fixed. 12 pages of new videos have been posted [from when it broke]. We are very happy with the use of the feature and are looking at ways to do video upload in more titles in the future.

Can we expect a Magneto costume in the future for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3? — KokeXtreM

Svensson: Unlikely that there will be a Magneto costume but not definitive.

Why are PC confirmed release dates always delayed? — Mike

Svensson: Quite often, PC development starts when the console development finishes or nearly finishes. Unless we start sitting on the console code and not releasing it until the PC development is complete (which we can't do from a business planning perspective), there's going to continue to be some small gaps unfortunately. We try to keep the gap as small as possible and at times, we have been able to make them simultaneous (Dark Void, Bionic Commando, BCR, MotoGP, Dead Rising 2, Dead Rising 2:OTR).

Oh, and Arcade Edition was shipped on PC within 1 week of the console retail release (which I'd consider pretty much simultaneous).

Will there be a full version of SSF4 or AE for download on PSN? — Tim

Svensson: There are plans, but on PSN, a reauthoring and resubmission of the entire game is required and that takes development resources and time. I've got no ETA, but we're working on it.

Does Capcom have any say or anything to do with more titles becoming Vita compatible from the PSP library? — Mrk1976

Svensson: To the best of my knowledge, step 1 is we had to have had them available digitally for PSP first (which we have largely done). After that's done, I believe Sony makes the magic happen (when it can) to make them work on Vita. It's not up to publishers/developers at that point as far as I'm aware.

Of course there won't be another Magneto costume....it's already on the disc. Capcom aren't going to bother making a new one unless they make a whole new set of costumes for those silly enough to download them.

Yeah I have all the costumes because its on disc and can just be hacked. The Magneto costume is awesome, but as #1 said they won't add a new one because that would require actual work. Getting the consumer to pay to unlock content on the disc is by far the easier option.

It's a crappy way to treat customers, but that is the age we live in. Almost every company is doing it in their games.

Just bring on SFxTK so we can see if there are any locked content on disc for that.

SF3 is pretty much dead, again. Just release SFxT so we can have a breath of fresh air.

#1, Sad but true. I play Magneto too so im disappointed. Actually I should have known better to expect Capcom to make a Magneto costume after the removal.

#5, I'll put money that there will be locked content on the disc. SFxT will be DLC driven based. I'd assume a lot of it will be on the disc already.

Thats pretty Fauked up from capcom. This is a good sign that umvc3 is done for a long time. I really enjoy the game, but capcom really doesn't care about its costumers. I bet the dlc which would have included him will be the same price.

If the house of M costume had so much controversy before why did they feel that it would go without such flame again? kinda dumb imo.

3s is my favorite capcom game and always will be but there a few gripes i have with the OE version.

1. I love that you can play with the filters on and off and give yourself the true authentic feel of the arcade (besides the HUD) but i really wish they would have the original MIDI tracks instead of just the arranged.

2. The only thing they REALLY NEED TO DO with DLC ever again for that game is add the New Generation and Second Impact stages, thats copy and paste right? doesnt even effect gameplay since i think they added the stage shaking from knockdowns in third strike.

3. that youtube upload idea was a great one. BUT, i kinda hate it lol when i upload a video its in trash 240p the audio and picture lag and its overall subpar. I'm not ungreatful i love the idea i just dont use the feature for those reasons.

I love 3SOE and play it everyday i just wish they added the MIDI tracks and classic stages to match the music dlc before they just completely move on

anyone agree?

Why not just give Magneto an Onslaught variant that shouldn't be that hard to make and be pretty badass to boot (yeah he may had been Prof. X, but he basically had the mind of Magneto, technically making him Magneto and viable as an alternate costume)

@9, huge exploitable hit box (c. HP, any jump attack that isn't a dive kick). Bad pokes in general. No wake ups without meter, and even then Messiah requires another meter to make safe on block. And he's really just not that great unless the opponent is cornered.

#12, Actual downloadable content outside of the game disc cost money to make and to have put up on the market. They run a risk of losing money if people dont buy a single costume.

Like #1 said, unless they plan on putting out another few sets of costumes, we most likely wont see a Magneto costume.

ok now i love the hell outta uvc3. i love my team and the effort i put into it is great for the time allot.i really wish there were more characters but im suffiecient with whats there now. we dont need any more characters and more modes we all well should have known. in restrospect to mvc3 that umvc3 was gunna be just mvc3 with more characters little tweaks and replace shadow with h&h. and everyone was diggin it till we played h&h and no one is now from what i see. its not a bad game just take it for what it is a game were u can play a little bit of everything roled into one
