Note: The footage after the jump is roughly two months old and the above footage is very recent but Kusoru does not use his entire team.
Hold the phone, someone call me Secret Squirrel.
Get that technique and liberate it.
He's not going to win. It's gonna be nice to see though.
Unless they bring in Abegen, I likely won't get hyped. Bring over the low tier hero to US!!!!
This guy is beastly, mad props to him for using supposed "joke" characters and wreaking havoc with them.I main Joe and casually play Raccoon both characters are truly complicated to use.Good to see someone use characters other than the same 6 everyone uses.
definitely gonna be hype to see that tech on stream.
Kusora is giving me new ideas on how to use Frank and Dante effectively. I love it!
would love to see raccoon going toe to toe against the trench coats lolz
The Japanese have awesome combos, but their fundamentals are bad and they don't block often(in Marvel). We'll see how that goes in America.
no need to be scare, but i think he can make top 16(even tokido make top 16 in US all the time) just because Americans don't have alot of experience against those character. But probably not top 8 or top 4.
Sure he's gonna show off some new tech. By the end of the tourney someone will have figured it out by then, and RR will again be a way-too-low health character to be tournament viable again :D
@21, the ending of the first video is crazy funny, too.
i can't way for something like this happen on the final round stream. lol
US has technology Japan can't understand even when they see it. My bet is that no Japanese except maybe Tokido will make it out of their pools, people don't seem to appreciate the gap between US and the rest of the world in MvC3. Nor do they appreciate the fact that there are a ton of hidden American killers outside the WNF/Big Two gang that are waiting to make their name known.
I thought the boulder loop was impossible to land in a real match.
if he can do that, I have no problems believing that he can do anything. lol
@24 We can say the same thing about Japan, can't we? Killers we don't even know about I mean. How would we know, from the handful of footage we round up every now and again? This is Marvel 3, the gap will never be that far apart. Looking forward to the possibility if international competition for this game!
Nice comebacks, i love RR things.
But i think he wont do good at Final Round
Because RR has low health and Japanese players play this game so defensive.
You must be offensive at this game.
Thats what USA players do.
Beside that, i think Tokide has a more killer team.
He looks stronger than Kurosu.
@HolyGhost I cant understand how you must be offensive in this game when we already saw Chris G raping a lot of great players just playing lame, seems like he beat people easier toda than when he played his old team.
@JDinc Yeah man, it's the same Kusoru, funny to see a troll player actually winning lol
I love his style of play, it would be interesting how he does in final round with his rocket racoon! @29 its because no international competition has posed even a small threat to America in marvel 3 yet. The only one who did was Tokido and he actually learned a lot of his wolvie, and sentinel from Americans when he came down to final round last year.
Kusoru looks like he has some beastly stuff with Frank and RR, even though I doubt he'll get close to winning I can see him blowing a few people up and being exciting to watch.
He could well do better than Tokido, who I hadn't realised has switched to a Mag/Doom/Phoenix team until I watched him in the WGC in France (He got to Winners finals then made to look super free by the guy that won and the guy that took second).
At top level, Americans are much better. At the average level, American umvc3 is not that much better than Japan. The Zero player from Japan bodied some American players at evo in money matches. lol
I don't think top jp players would have problem getting out of a pool unless they are in a pool with 2 or more killers.
Even Daigo made top 8 at mvc3 at Norcal regional. lol
@35 you are talking about Final Round, which will have all the top players from the East and West Coast present. Even your top America players are not going to have an easy time getting out of their pools.
In the first place I am not even convinced Kusoru is a top JP MvC3 player, from what I see he's struggling against many of the opponents he's facing in the vids.
I think UMVC3 is a game that runs very counter to the way many other fighting games are played. It's dirty and it's played best that way.
Like they always say in MMA, everyone has a plan until you get punched in the face. We will see how well this tech works when Marlin is spamming seismos or J Wong is bringing the sh*tstorm rushdown with his Ironfist. I'm not 100 percent sure they'll be there, but you get my point.
I have been saying it for a while, people are sleeping on Raccoon and he's way better than anyone will give him credit. The character is super tricky and has a lot of potential, he's just annoying to learn and very different. It's a pretty general rule that whenever you see a fast, small, low health character with traps in a Capcom or SNK game, it's probably pretty good and deserves even a little attention.
"In the first place I am not even convinced Kusoru is a top JP MvC3 player, from what I see he's struggling against many of the opponents he's facing in the vids. "
He didn't even use his real team until the end in first vid.
this is just saying tokido is not a top Japanese player because he got bodied on a vid. wait, i remember people said the same about tokido at this time, last year. Stop using the same argument.
I'm not saying he will win the tournament or make top 8. I just don't think getting out of pool is that hard unless you have a very bad draw.
@27 If you watched the world game cup (Hakf on youtube is slowly uploading them)if anything they're too reckless. Some Japan players didnt look like they were blocking regularly, getting caught with all kind of stuff thats not normal in comparison to the american streams
@29 Yeah the americans can be a slight too patriotic/biased/ignorant to the other countries. Not a bad thing, not a good thing, they're just too proud of the usa but this could be applied to any region.
Looking forward to see that RR tech. Must be pretty beastly if he hyped it up.
