LOVING IT!
@16 I was online and rarely get to see the streams due to time and work. Reading the news led me to believe I could watch some top ssf4 play when instead it was umvc3 which I can't stand.
Was simply excited to watch it hence disappointed. Will have to waitnn hope for vods as usual :)
Also still boggles me how anyone can enjoy watching or playing marvel,its entire sequences of juggles n flashes watching a character or two die without them able to control their char to fight back. Horrendous.
@11. Not sure why you're posting that here...?
Anyway, Fuudo wasn't 4th. Infiltration was and unless I was too caught up in the hype at the event to keep track of the score I thought Daigo got raped 0-3.
Anyone else care to verify?
I might be blind or even deaf for that matter but why isn't USA representing out there?
No idea #27. The prize money is pretty decent for all the categories too plus the competition is good. They should of sent a couple of players. Although they did mention something on cross counter a couple of weeks ago.
WinterBrawl, bro. Seems like the obvious reason.
All the brackets will be / are on http://wgc.binarybeast.com/
@27:
- Winter Brawl
- More expensive to invite players from America than Japan
- Inviting 6 Japanese players is already very expensive
- Euro is SF4 land
- The organizers didn't think long term and didn't think of attracting US audiences into their stream
"- The organizers didn't think long term and didn't think of attracting US audiences into their stream"
Or maybe they know theres a time different or happy to just keep it in Europe?
@24 I was there. Daigo lost 3-0 They were close though. Infiltration lost to justin for 4th place. Justin perfected hi Hakan with Adon. Infilration also used Gouken against Daigo. Was pretty sick. Good matches overall. Infiltration won first place for phones. Poongko also took out fuudo I believe in the quarters (They were held the week before)
"The World Game Cup 2012 is taking place this weekend in Cannes, France. Top players in attendance include Fuudo, MCZ|Tokido, MCZ|Mago, eLive|RF, eLive|Alioune, eLive|MOV"
Is MOV really there? I didn't see him yet (he wasn't @ the 3rd strike 2v2 yesterday and he's not on Team Japan). WTF?!
Didn't see Belgium's performance, but I didn't expect much of them. Online at PS3 there is no real high-level play available from Belgian players AFAIK. Perhaps a bit better in the French part, in the Flemish one I seem to be one of the last that play this game.
Also, I think this event is hosted really well. Good coverage.
Europe exposed, japan ocving, nothing to see here guys, get moving.
Out come all the d1ckhead comments about Europe cause we cant do what USA still cant do after years of trying ha
MOV was supposed to be here, however he did not make it :(
Fair play, Tokido's raking in the cash at this tourn
Tokdio won like 4 tournaments today. lol team and single.
Just curious, how come Alioune is not on team France or EU for that matter? I thought he's the "best" in Eu or maybe not?
I guess nobody wants him on the team???????
im glad to see tokido winning again hate seeing him lose
@#60
He was on team France, he was 1st up vs team UK in the semi's. Didn't play very well.
@ #63 Winston C.
was that on 5 vs 5? he wasn't part of team France on 3v3. I guess he wasn't chosen then. Not that it would have mattered anyways, they would have still lost. lol. isn't there like a "prodigy" in EU? there's this kid that uses Dhalsim. I can't remember his name but he went up against Daigo on that tournament on which I also forgot, saw it on youtube. I think Ryan Heart won that tourney against Daigo in the Finals.
oh nevermind. looked it up on youtube, the kid's name is Yota. and the touney was SVB 20-X. That kid was pretty solid. needs some experience though.
Ryan Heart don't win tournaments. i think you remember it wrong.
@#64
I dont think the 3v3 was country specific but yeah he wasn't in a team for that.
@#66
Ryan Hart has won a fair few tournament :P
@66 spotlessden,
Ryan Hart did win that tournament. look it up on youtube and give credit to where it's due. I think YOU haven't won any tournaments and never will, that I don't need to remember 'cause I know. LMAO
Lol salty Europeans in the comments. "There are no teams that can say they can definitely beat us."
Lol churchill, I think you need to watch Canada cup when team USA eliminated team Japan 1 and went game for game with team Japan 2. Even though we had a Honda and dhalsim on our team.
@68
Ok sounds like you're talking about SVB20-X.
Grand finals was actually Ryan Hart vs Luffy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gQT_S...
@68
see, people proved that you remember it wrong. Ryan Hart didn't win that tournament.
@70
i think Team USA lost to team Japan 2-0(winner final and then later) that's not game to game.
My bad then. ya, I checked it again. Ryan Hart didn't win. but he did beat Daigo.
damn tokido!!! what man 4 in 1 day? and seems japan is just tearing everything up
LOL the typical arrogance. I love how you make out like you hand a handicap with having an E. Honda and Dhalsim. Your comments are embarrassing. Have fun thinking you're better than the rest of the world over one match.
I missed the X tekk stream. Will they make the archive?
1 French stream, 1 English, and 1 with a different game, makes sense.
God the skinny commentator is seriously annoying with his ghetto speak and seemingly limited knowledge of the game.
Oh check out that wake up....crouching light kick. Hes scared of something hes scared, yeah hes scared of something.
On another note, be awesome for tokido to take this tourney as well.
Jeeez I can't stand Rose but good game Luffy.
Weeks before this tournament started, Tokido's killing intent was weak and like Akuma, he had to train very hard and once he performed an 'Instant Hell Murder' (Raging Demon) on an unfortunate player, everyone was bricking themselves and Tokidos on a murder spree. His 'Satsui No Hadou' is now stronger than ever......
Ha "I'm not a biased commentator". Liieeeessss hahaha
Zak Bennet's Firebrand was awesome.
@#122
Its not random, it's called getting your act together and not letting losses bother you do fullfil your potenial. Plus the Japanese tourn you're on about was online, we all know Tokido does better face to face. He'll do well this year.
As for Mago and Fuudo playing umvc3 hahaha, in all honesty, they were just making up the numbers. It was basically just Tokido vs the world.
The commentators were horrendous! Next time, please get the Ryan Hart-d1ckrider off the mic!!
"Ryan Hart is on the same level as Fuudo", "Tokido is solid"...solid... "I could've done much better against Tokido"...yeah man we get it, you COULD'VE won Evo as well!
@78 over one match? Lol we took socal regionals and final round over the Japanese. We didn't go 0-2 in Canada cup we got 2nd and bodied one of japans teams. You couldn't even beat Canada, which by the way knew they were the weakest team. I got love for Europe but you guys are not better than America. Canada cup results don't lie. And that's why the Japanese rarely come here anymore because its no longer easy money for them even though Americans now play marvel for the most part. But they love the idea of coming over and taking your money. Especially now in AE 2012 when America doesn't gave a handicap due to the lack of twins and fei long players.
Oh dear lord. Ok krownclown, you win the discussion. cool. amazing.
@131, hmm, US viper still lost to the Japan when they came over here. that's why Wolfkrone and Latif never won tournaments when jp players were here.
