Update: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Unlimited logo and information from AOU 2012

Updated: Six more images from AOU 2012 have been added into the story.

The Arcade Operators Union 2012 expo has starting ramping up the excitement by posting sneak shots of upcoming arcade hardware. Included in their preview snips was an image of the update to Tekken Tag Tournament 2 which revealed the title addition "Unlimited".

Given the previous naming conventions of Tekken arcade updates TTT2 most likely follows the same pattern, with the word "Unlimited" coming at the end. Also there is a tagline that shows a 1v1 mode.

This also confirms that an update to the game is indeed coming and will more than likely be incorporated into the console release of the game.

Notice how game companies hype up a game before it's even out- more than ever? "Leaked" tiny pic of a video game cabinet from 300 yards away... is news? omg

#8 Really?
I was afraid it meant TTT2 might not make into consoles, even though it had a release date...
But that 2v2/2v1/1v1... The game just got me even more hyped.
I want to know what'll be the trade off of those choices.

This is how it is suppose to be done, give us the update first, don't make us buy it months later.

So... they are putting in a 1 on 1 mode, just like the first one. I wonder what other surprises Namco will come out next...?

Make 2v1 possible. But if you're only sporting one character then he obviously needs a little more health and power. Kinda like how CvS2 did it.

Pretty sure there isn't a definite console release date besides "Q4 2012", that's just the default date whatever site you're using sets for Q4 releases that don't have specific dates.

I'm excited to see what Unlimited brings to the table, in any case.

Good boys Tekken you made a great call on making 1on1 in Tag 2 since you took it out on tag 1 when you re-released it. This will allow people who only like standard style of play to play as well. I love the thought of 1on2 battle. I will enjoy tha greatly with using one character against two. So far so good. Keep it up.

I'm gonna be sad if it turns out having one person on your team is gonna be more valid than having two. The tag mechanics are just too nice.

I'm really hyped for this game but damn how does these screens hype up anyone? Its just 1v1 and 2v1 and TTT1 had 1v1 on consoles(though I guess this is good for the arcade version of the game).

This defeats the purpose of the name Tekken Tag but oh well. Its like adding one on one to MVC3, what makes the game unique is the tag feature. If I want a one on one ill just wait for Tekken 7 or continue to play Tekken 6.

@ MugenLord

But it how Tekken Tag has been since its first console release on the PS2. It pretty much had all these modes in it wih the exception of 1 vs 2. It is still a tag game... Just alternate options for variety. Maybe you just want a good old one on one. I mean 6 is still good but it will never have True ogre or Jun or hell an updated... Well everybody. But either way the game will be good. I am just glad pair play made it back.

Am I the only person totally not riding on Namco's d*ck here!?
I mean they added stuff that I would expect to be in the console port anyway and everyone acts like they've performed miracles? Dont get me wrong I love Tekken but this is the most lazy update they've ever done
