Ed Boon teasing Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter possibility?

I hope Capcom just works on making SF X TK, Marvel and SSFIV even more awesome.

As fun as this could be, I would much, MUCH rather see Mortal Kombat vs Killer Instinct. That would be a far more interesting crossover.

Please leave the gems money milking tactics in SFxT. Dont screw this one up Capcom.

Shows your not very intelligent, given that in my post I stated that I haven't liked MK since it FIRST SHOWED up, which means I am pretty old to have been actively playing video games since the early 90's. In reality, I have probably being playing fighting games since before you were potty trained, so get educated small fry.

Real fighting games don't need silly gimmicks that rely on shock factor to attract gamers.

We've already got a capcom crossover catered to the americans which is MVC3, MK was only seen as a rival to SF only in america, rather have a crossover that caters to everyone in the world not just americans.

SF vs KOF already exists. In the forms of CvS 1 & 2, & SvC Chaos. Capcom Vs SNK is a Capcom fighter that includes SNK fighters from KOF, Samurai Showdown, Garou, Fatal Fury, etc etc. All the same, SvC Chaos is an SNK fighting game with characters from Capcom

It's amazing how games rated "mature" have the most immature people playing them.

Mortal Kombat has always been a casual gimmick fighter that couldn't compete with Street Fighter on a technical and fun level. Proof of this is all the Mortal Kombat fans who refuse to play the game if they take away their gimmick and make it bloodless. If the game is a true fighting game on its own merits, people wouldn't care less if it had blood or not. Not to mention, the the Mortal Kombat series has some of the worst character designs in the history of gaming that are bland and boring.

SFxKOF and KOFxSF, would be a different game from CvS and SvC. It's just like SFxTK and TKxSF, that is different from NamcoxCapcom. I mean, the atmosphere is something different, you could work on a better story and put the best chars on it. That's my opinion.

So You would rather take out the exciting characters of the SNK/Capcom world and minimize it to just a Game vs Game rather than Company vs Company?

Since SF destroyed Tekken, I don't want it to tie-in with another game besides SNK's, which have relatively the same concepts, having the same creators and all.
I do want to see TKvSF, MKvSF, ARCvsCAPCOM. I never thought I'd ever get bored of SF, but IV died down for me after MvC3 and GGPO's scene growing a bit.

I could only see this working if the MK characters came into the SF world, and if they were given that funny/goofy look and feel, like how Capcom transformed the Tekken guys (i.e. Heihachi).

With that in mind, there's nothing wrong with asking for a SF vs. KoF only title. This just means that such title would have more focus on non mainstream characters who rarely makes the cut for a crossover.

@49: Man, seriouly i'd prefer SFxKOF. I mean, both series are very "similar" in the concepts. I'm a huge fan of SNKP, and their games, and i've played most of their games till today, but, i don't like the concept of Ryu fighting against Hibuki from The Last Blade series, or Kyo fighting against Morrigan. It's strange. The games are good games, and the characters too, but i think that without these chars that don't fit so well in a most serious crossover, would be better. That's why i said SFxKOF and vice versa.

This cross over has been long over due. It will happen eventually. I will buy it when it does happen.

Please don't make this happen capcom. There a reason for why mk can only do crossover with dc, while capcom do it with tekken,snk,and marvel ect. Mk is only (the little league) compare to capcom who is the "major league". Ed boon just wants to make money off this (which will be a fail) since whoever does crossover with capcom seems to do very well. But truth is mk and sf don't mix. Above all else mk is a kids game which doesn't deserve to be in the same rank as sf. If it does happen it gonna be rated M for Mistake.....

Also to add to my previous post, I hope Capcom decides to bring back a Darkstalkers title before anything. Let another crossover be on the next gen of systems. Let SFxT breathe, as well as TxSF. Maybe SNK could bring back a new Garou or Samurai Showdown to further make a case for a crossover with them and Capcom. Just food for thought.

To compare, Mk9 sold 3mil+ while SF4 sold about 3.5mil+ (thats ps3 and 360 only, and excludes ssf4 and AE).

Marvel vs dc with akuma being playable only with a code input at the character select screen and him having unlimited hc. I like vs games way better than any other fighter.

I would be interested in seeing how this turns out. I mean, with the new MK's success people shouldn't really be looking at it just because of the blood and gore now. I think if a SF and MK crossover was made, it could be accomplished really well without gallons of blood. So long as the actual fighting system was good, which is rather possible.

I would love to see this game, anyone raised in the 90's knows this is one for the ages far more superior than sfxt. The whole stipulation with the gore and violence is understandable but crossovers ALWAYS find a way to find a meeting point. I will not be disappointed if this does not have fatalities but it would need to have blood. Maybe not pints worth but visible blood. A great cross over would have been Ult. Mortal Kombat 3 vs. any street fighter game with a third strike engine. Well nonetheless just dont add gems and ill give you my money capcom

The game if it came into fruition would probably sell. But as a long time Street Fighter fan, it feels like this would be a "sell out" move by Capcom, with the MK team garnering a bigger benefit from the cross over. SF > MK. MK will never be SF...
