Hit the jump to check out some Guile, Sakura and Oni combos as well as a match commentary video.
Rushkilla showed a nice setup for Sakura for landing her overhead into Ultra 1.
A video entry in the IBP Commentary Series was posted a ways back, offering match analysis of what the players in the clip are doing right and wrong.
Lakers24kobecolts18 did a Oni combo video with some flashy stuff, numerous set ups for the air raging demon, and some crazy damage output combos.

its kinda funny hearing his complaints cause those were all the same ones from when the game even came out, which is to be expected since he's really late in the game. He'll get used to it then he'll start to like it. Just keep pushing through and soon you'll find the pace that your supposed to play for sf4.
I like Renic's series better than most because I can relate to him more. I feel like he does a better job of connecting with the average player, instead of making us feel like "Damn, I'll never be able to do that."
i went to wnf two weeks ago and got my ass kickd too.
all i can say is it refueled the fire in me to grow as a player since online had become so dull.you have to realize everyone their has played in multiple tournaments before and you being the new guy need to adapt.
ive tried out just about every character in this game and trying out new people definitely gives u a better perspective on what your main character does and what they cant do. so i say play hakan love hakan but go back to cody after some time and apply what you have learned again and i believe using other characters will make your cody better , and if then you realize cody isnt for you so be it , i dropped my main after 2 yrs and now going back to her i realize she wasnt for me or my style ,maybe at the time but i came into my niche as a player and i needed to move on.
but ive learned invaluable things from my time with her and that was the path i needed to walk to be the calibur of player i am today.
so my best advice is try every character more then once just cause u wernt interested in them before ur style changes and you grow as a player.
"you learn more in defeat then you do in victory"
I completely feel you Renic. Im at the same point. I just don't understand the people that play this game. They just do stuff. Wake up ultras, mashed dp's, not to mention losing to a terrible player simply because of random lag spikes that only seem to effect me. Sigh, I'll never give up on Juri though.
@6 if ur losing to wakeup ultras you need to learn to meaty different and/or safe jump better in the end some will still hit u but 75% of them shouldnt half the time i get hit with random ultras i still win rounds cause u usually body people who do stuff like that.
also they are really easy to bait and u will eventually be able to read when a wakeup ultra is coming with a decent rate of success.
@blzd uh yeah.......um do you play? Not a fraud who exposed themselves by saying that? So here's the big secret get ready.....you hit confirm from crouch. Yeah I know its mind blowing.
Good stuff, I mained Seth till pretty recently, switched to sagat because it fits my speed, timing and play habits. You gotta be able to adapt in all areas or you simply become too stubborn to hear good criticisms. Which leads to lazy and predictable play.
Here is my view on the thing:
SF4 has a MUCH more shallow level of success pool but an equally deep level of possible gameplay.
Basically if you go play SF3 or SF2 you can't just mash to win, you can't "just do stuff" and possibly reset a situation. However the fact that in 2 hits you could easily win the round makes the game a little more of a gamble sometimes. SF4 is MUCH more forgiving but at the same time, as Renic and Gootecks said "you need to win a lot of little battles"
It is the same logic as how as long gachi of "first to 10" shows player skill much better than a single elimination tournament.
That said, I wish that SF4 would get rid of the shortcuts and make the reversal window a little bit smaller.
Renic has definitely the most interesting sf4 web series I have seen to date. Maybe its just interesting to me because prior to 2012 I never took sf4 seriously. But me and him are moving at the same rate so that's why what makes this web series so special to me.
