I'm glad someone made this to educate the new generation. It shocked me how many people were surprised that we've gone through 4 iterations of Street Fighter IV.
Now that he put it that way. Capcom really did over saturate the FGC back then with. Talk about desperate.
Unfortunately bad habits die hard...lol
The Alpha series was awesome. A1's good but A2 and A3 are some of the best SF games ever created in the series. In many fans' eyes, they considered the Alpha series to be the 'true' sequel to SF2.
Originally, Capcom decided to create a whole new cast WITHOUT Ryu and Ken in the game and that outraged loads of fans, demanding Capcom to bring the well known characters like Ryu and Ken in SF3. Can you imagine a SF3 game without them? Alex was supposed to be a main guy but unfortunately, he became a victim because of 1 man: Ryu. He simply overshadowed him by a lot. After all, Ryu is the FACE of SF. I've never played the first 2 versions of SF3 but I've played 3S (online edition). Looking at the history of SF3, the hardcore scene actually saved the game from being a total flop. I might get criticised for saying that but its true. It also hurt the SF franchise, along with too many versions of the game and we didn't get to see another sequel until 2008.
Anyway, that live-action SF movie was so bad but the SF animated movie was awesome.
Awesome Super Honda and I actually grew up on the Alpha series so I totally agree with that.
And yeah, that graffiti is very legit,
By letting 3S breathe, it was able to be a great game because it was the only one that was around for awhile. I hope they do the same for MVC3 and SF4.
Just let these games breath and have people figure them out. I'll admit, I hate wesker as much as the next guy, but with that high level of difficulty combined with constant practice will eventually make it seem not as hard. If you have a bad match-up, find a friend that plays that character and start facing off. The match-up will progressively get easier if you're willing to push it past the limit.
@Timic83
Do you expect them to not post things just because some people can't view it even though most people can?
Sorry, didn't mean to come off sounding like a dick, especially since I have no idea how much of their reader-base in the US.
But EH has no control over region-locked stuff so you can't really blame them.
I remember all of those games & yeah Capcom did flood us w/ 2 much of the same game but u gotta admit, the games were great.
Community is a dope series. Been seeing these artistic homages to the show recently, and a SF themed one was inevitable. Good stuff.
Alpha 3 and MSHvsSF were the first fighting games i ever owned. I had a chipped ps1 and had the japanese versions so i had norimaro in MSHvsSF (or something similar), great fun. At the time i was too young to understand the mechanics and how to play the game, but i enjoyed playing them casually.
#5 I know right? i was like like.. really?? lol.
that's some legit graffiti.
