I highly recommend it. The only thing I can even say negative about it is that the online is bare-bones at best, which is a bummer.

If it had a spectator mode, I'd set up a lobby and stream this game all day err day.

But yeah, outside of that? Great game, worth it, does so much right, etc. etc. :-p

This game is way too overrated. the netcode is the worst EVER. nothing works. the gameplay is even worse, lp/lk spamming into specials is much easier than in sf4 for example. because of 16:9 and a wider arena most people play on dostance and just use fireball shooting. and it has a lot of bugs.
its the truth.

lol @4, if there is something that makes this game diferent to other is that the run away tactics barely exist. U have too many options to deal with proyectiles. form roll to short hops etc. And dont forget the fact that most of the cast can be played rushdown. It was only posible for athena and bolly in kof 2002 to play at distance. here proyectiles have a lot of recovery.

@7 setting up for her jumping command grab(F.D.DF P) while in HD.

Grab - air pound super - max (backwards input since you do cross them up on the super) = 75%

There are alot of other sinister setups for it, esp in the corner, but you do need full hd and 3 bars.

Where was the reset? It looked like it was all in 1 instant combo.

I love how you biased fans of any series can claim one game takes more or less skill than another. Its just beyond retarded. If you keep falling for wake up dp's in SF4 then guess what...you're a scrub. In the case of KOFXIII if you keep getting beat out by the normals that your opponent is using...you're still a scrub. Guess what both cases have in common?
And in fact both cases can be solved...BLOCK! If you know you're facing an opponent who's going to do those repetetive tactics yet you lose to it then you sir need to up your game. As of now the mainstream games of the fighting community are so diverse in skill set that I personally don't believe that any game out shines another. Its all about preference people -_-

@11 did i say skill? nope I didnt say that. To discuss what game is better than other is stupid. It s all about tastes, street fighter tekken kof guilty gear blazblue etc are wonderful games. and of course all of them require a lot of skill to master them. I just say that some tactics are not that viable In some games. Example. if you turtle in kof and guilty you are screwed. In street fighter if u dont respect wake ups or just keep jumping in mindless U are screwed also.

@10 I guess where the command grab was? That can't be right since you can combo into command grabs in KOF, so it technically isn't a reset..

@13 Of course if you block in KOF you're screwed because almost everyone has a command grab.

@10 & 14 Vice's SRK command grab has her jump forward and grab from the air; in this video, after going hd into the 2nd HK goes immediately into the grab, so shes in the air while the opponent is in hit stun and recovery, so the grab part hits right as he recovers for the reset.

Is that so? I don't know anything about Vice due to lack of playing against her and even playing her myself. Scary that it can be timed to such a crucial moment.
