Tip from Oroku_Saki.
Finally we'll get to see more of japanese action in this game!
PS: I like the "Climax" thing... It's better than "super" definetely haha
@3 Actually I believe it IS the console version, it's just being tested and realesed to the arcade with a diferent name (distinguish from the previous arcade version of it).
Mr Karate!..........slowly slowly this game is tempting me!
I like that SNK is not dead however I'm looking forward for KOF 14 and not just a simple update.
This game need to change that horrible sprite art once and for all (get rip of NONA and falcoon and get Hiroaki back or someone else with a drawing style less bizarre).
The roster also it's too small for a KOF game and a lot of fan favorites are missing just like how the previous members asked for Vanessa.
The music also it not good enough and they really need to get the KOF music back to it roots. The music from KOF 95 to KOF 2000 was so good!... It's a shame...
KOF it's now popular in USA now when this game it's not even half as good as previous titles. I will keep waiting and wishing for the best. It took 10 years to marvel to revive and a lot more years to be accepted again SF after the unsuccessful SF3 so there still hope.
I was wierded out alittle at some of the character art at first too ala Ralph and Clark but the sprite art to me is magnificent otherwise and I have played KOF forever and this game is so dang fun yes it doesn't have alot of my favs but it is gorgeous
Oh and I agree hiroaki's art is where it's at I never liked falcoon
@BluePepsi. I have to agree with mag44 on this one. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
"This game need to change that horrible sprite art once and for all (get rip of NONA and falcoon and get Hiroaki back or someone else with a drawing style less bizarre)."
HAHA, funny you mention Falcoon. People were so happy when he got on board for KOF 2003 and the MI series but when they saw all the bullcrap he was doing with his character design they immediately started hating him (too many belts etc.) and most of his character ideas were bizarre...definitely not the "less bizarre" that you're looking for. And that's just for character art. May I remind you that the same exact sprite art was used from KOF '96 all the way up to KOF XII?
"The roster also it's too small for a KOF game and a lot of fan favorites are missing just like how the previous members asked for Vanessa."
36 characters not enough for you? While KOF 98 had 43 and KOF 2002:UM had 59, Several of those characters in '02 were boss characters and due to the tiering only a good dozen of them were usable competitively.
"The music also it not good enough and they really need to get the KOF music back to it roots. The music from KOF 95 to KOF 2000 was so good!... It's a shame..."
Sure the music was great in the games you mentioned, but the music is fantastic in this game too. No complaints there.

Again, with the exception of '98 and 2002 (after several tweaks I might add), every other KOF was a broken ass game full of infinites and dumb mechanics that couldn't be taken seriously in a competitive nature.
I would like to see more characters but I love this game I use well over half the roster in all KOF games but I can only imagine it couldn't be to cheap to redue characters from the ground up but honestly alot of older fighters have infinites so you can't really hold that against them I never got to play 2002 um I know it has 66 characters mass bosses but it only on XBLA :(
Lol if this version gets a rebalance it will be DELICIOUS for all the hate is gonna get!!!!!
Enjoying the game now with the recent patch release. Cant wait to see what this is
My favourite kof is 2002, all my favourite characters are in it like Yamazaki, May Lee, Angel, and blue Mary, I think non of these characters are in KOF XIII.
Well, I have to agree that KOFXIII has kind of a mediocre-wannabe music, pretending to emulate KOF musical style and stuff but still sounds hollow to me. They need to conceive new song instead of emulating or recycling, I know they can, just hire the original composers, it's not like they cannot, unless they are dead, I think the only song I truly like is the Betty's team song, stands for itself.
And this artwork is fine, fits KOF in a way, the style used in the faces and hair kind of repels me, but this is tons better than Falcoon, and I do agree, get Hiroaki back from CAPCOM, aside from that,
All in all, KOFXIII is truly a love letter for KOF fans and fighter fans overall.
