Pretty funny. The cosplaying black cat character (I don't know their names yet) is all over the Poison cosplayer at one point.

I really wish they would put more stages in their games also. MvC3 was sorely lacking, SFIV was lacking and this game looks like it is lacking. I guess they don't think people care about stages.

@13: Hardly, considering the stages are chockful of cameos, callbacks, moving parts and characters, transitional graphical changes and/or transitional physical changes, and potential random elements like the skatepark billboards.

I'll take a few high-quality ones over a bunch of mediocre stages.

The problem is, no matter how cool the backgrounds are, it gets boring playing the same few ones over and over again. Mortal Kombat had like 20 cool stages at launch, I'm sure Capcom could do the same if they wanted to.

Coolest stage in fighting game history has got to be Ken's Street Fighter Alpha 2 stage. The cruise ship that was celebrating Eliza's birthday. Soo many cameos and amazing music and how Strider threw his teddy bear into the air when someone did a super and the caught it when the super was over. I love that stage.

arent some of the stages actually 2 stages in 1? Like the dinosaur one for instance?

Gamerbee is taiwanese. The expo was in Taipei, Taiwan. The capital of Taiwan. Mainland china is under pseudo-communist rule and Taiwan is democratic.

Mvc3 could have had way better stages. So many different backgrounds could have been used from both universes. I thought it was fan service like they said as in for example, a lot of marvel characters in the background, as well as capcoms watching the fights.

ive already said this before, but there is way too much damage on the team super. A bit of a shame to know that it never got toned down with time....

only one character needs to die, I dont think its okay to have a move that does 55% of someones life when meter isnt super difficult to come across from what Ive seen

IS IT STILL POSSIBLE TO USE THE TAG LAUNCH (NOT SURE WHAT THE TERM IS) MORE THAN ONCE IN A COMBO?

Soriphen's avatar
Soriphen said on February 4, 2012 at 4:25 p.m.

@27

It still should be possible if I recall...but, I think it depends on how they limit the juggles. They'll probably limit it with decreasing hitbox size as you continue to juggle and faster gravity.

Basically, start with the launcher and the next few hits better include a launcher is what I'm thinking.

I don't really like any of the stages, to be honest...:/ It's one of the things that disappoints me most about the game. I hope they work on more stages in the future (even if they're just variations of old stages - like a winter version of the Shinto shrine one.)

Keep in mind that this is not the final build of the game. There's probably a good chance there is more stages if not, well damn..

@31:

Dude, I can only hope you're right. But I really feel this game will only have 8-9 stages. Capcom can be very lazy when they want to be - which seems to be quite often...

I think they removed that, no two in one combo. What I see missing from this showcase was using the launcher to capture footsies. Isn't it invulnerable to low attack now?

RebornOdin said on February 4, 2012 at 9:01 p.m.

I could've sworn you could do two in one combo, but the second one couldn't be comboed afterwards. They probably removed it because it served no purpose other than essentially a reset.

Secondly, it's invulnerable to lows if it's just a naked launcher, I don't think it's even possible to "combo" into the launcher to bypass a low.

Do the cats have to be in every single video they show? Seriously, can we turn those stupid things off? They just look annoying.

@33

I ALSO THOUGHT IT COULD BE USED TO COUNTER LOWS. I THINK THE PROBLEM IS JUST CAPCOM FAILING TO USE TWO PLAYERS WHO CAN ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME WELL. I ENJOY SEEING TOP PLAYERS IN THE COMMUNITY BUT THERE HAS TO BE TWO PEOPLE IN-HOUSE THAT CAN SHOWCASE THIS GAME PROPERLY!
