Not true at all.

I hear from fellow PC gamers that there's actually so many people online in the evening that at times you have a hard time joining matches in ranked.

And that's with the game still not patched to 2012.

Those people deserve better, especially considering it's a 9 mb patch which already runs on PC hardware (cabinets).

Also:

Jesus christ, the aliasing on that picture is abysmal.

SC5 looks gorgeus on the obsolete console hardware, even Tekken 6 which is years old looks *way* better than that.

Couldn't they try a bit harder? :<<

...i don't know whom they're fooling with those teasers...you don't need to be some kind of genius to realise M.Bison is confirmed, so just drop that tease nonsense and announce him already, you aren't fooling anyone Capcom...also there's still sh*t load of characters left to be announced (if leaked list is indeed true, which i hardly doubt that it isn't), so where they're going to reveal them all is beyond me...mid february looks not enough to show off all remaining characters and we have like how much 1 month and 1 week left?...gimme a break...

that would be true for newcomers. the high ranked guys, however, are the same people you play over and over again. some seemed to have quit altogether and probably moved back to xbox. worst yet, at times you come across bad connections when going up against them.

hopefully the patch will bring a resurgence but with CxT coming in a month, i wouldn't be surprised if people just moved on, which is expected of course. i'll have fun playing that ryu troll rgillion for the 100th time

* In SSFIV AE, a bug where Akuma's demon flip palm attack no longer registered as an overhead has been fixed.

* In SSFIV AE, a bug causing Akuma's inability to deal stun has been fixed.

* In SSFIV AE, a bug where gutless sound effects were used to replace the ballsy effects from SFIV vanilla has been fixed. SSFIV AE sounds now reflect the punchy and ballsy effects from vanilla.

* In SSFIV AE, a bug which prevented you to inflict post-KO hits on opponents has been fixed.

* In SSFIV AE, a stupid bug which prohibits choosing 'rematch' between bouts in online lobbies if only two players present has been fixed.

You're right, but that's pretty much granted I guess. I mean, stronger and more dedicated players are all already on console.

Still there are guys who're playing the game, and having them wait 3 months for balance patch seems just wrong - no matter what your PC team is doing at the moment, it cannot be that hard to port a 9 mb patch.

Also, unlike console, there won't be any new release till SFxT (SC5 and KoF aren't getting a PC release, SFxT will be delayed by 2 like months as per Capcom late policy), so 2012 should still be the top dog for a while as far as PC goes.

I absolutely hate the post-vanilla arcade sounds effect, I so want those back. Same for post KO moves, screw the crybabies who QQ'd about that. I'm already throwing my money at the screen to have a rematch button, but nothing's happening.

And as far as Akuma goes, they could literally give him 0 stun on EVERY move, it wouldn't change a thing. Stun is just not part of his game anymore since Vanilla, it's just abysmal.

Next time they're probably killing him for good by stripping him of his demon flip throw, making it like Guy or something.

Stay classy Capcom. Announce a firm date for a bug fix patch to AE 2012 on consoles. Can't announce a firm date for the balance patch for AE to AE 2012 on PC.

I bet PC gamers have to wait another 2 months for the bug fix patch to hit.

And Capcom wonders why their PC market share sucks.

Aluppoj said on February 2, 2012 at 8:20 p.m.

Oh, one final thought for you guys.

I'm reading several people complaining about changes to their character of choice. Keep in mind that not everything is about you.

Changing Akuma may have made Hakan stronger. Changing Yang may have made Dan more viable. Every character change isn't meant to "Screw your character!", but to adjust the overall balance of the game.

On a personal note:

Balrog is my 3rd in command. And I can honestly say that I don't care for several of the changes made to him since Vanilla. But then I asked myself, "does he really need to be that good for me to win?". The answer was No! I needed to think a little longer. I couldn't be quite as crazy. Everything worked out just fine. (He got buffed in AE eventually anyway. But not his headbutt recovery sob sob sob lol)

Anyway, I realized that by adjusting Rog's playstyle they were actually improving the matchup for like 20 other characters! So it all comes out in the wash.

Akuma can live with a few nerfs. So can Yang.

You wanted a balanced game? You've got it.

Yeh...Adon Vs. Guile is MUCH more terrible. Vs. Rufus...I ain't even gonna start.

HOW was Jaguar kick TOO good? At most it would get spammed and blocked...ye you can sorta 'get in' with it but the normals that beat it now due to the enlarged hurtbox seems like a bit too much.

Maybe it seems like "A bit too much" to you. But I bet the guy playing Gen sure does appreciate it. You see what I'm saying?

Maybe Adon vs Guile got a little bit tougher, but that one adjustment probably helped out a bunch of characters that Adon was literally Raping before!

If you look a little deeper I'm sure you'll still find ways to get in on Guile, cross him up, then proceed to 50/50 him with Jab Tick throw, Jab Rising Jaguar all day long lol.

That's Adon right? Lol, JK.

From what I know, Yang is still viable to play with. Just because he recieved a lot of nerfs doesn't mean he's not a viable character anymore. With these nerfs, you have to be smart and knowing your character's strengths and weaknesses is vital if you want to be successful with Yang.

I want a patch that has the playback menu scrolled to the end by default. I have to scroll through 60+ videos just to find an empty slot to save on, every single time, and of course there's more scrolling to be done each time. Fire the UI dev who failed to think of such an obvious feature.

Your comparing Yang to a low tier character like Dan who was supposed to be a joke character. Because of LK Dankukyaku, Dan can do well but in the tourney scene, no chance because he's not a serious character. But someone like Yang can do well in the tourneys because he has MORE tools than Dan. Remember at the time when Daigo and Mago considered Seth to be a low-mid tier character in AE? Out of nowhere, Poongko demonstrated how dangerous Seth can be if played in the right hands. What I'm saying is that in AE 2012, a lot of characters have the potential to do well and it only takes 1 person to find out the character's potential. I've seen a few Japanese Yang players playing on AE 2012 and they were playing clever and they used their character knowledge to defeat the opponents. Sometime later, if Yang gets placed in the top 8, you will change your opinions right away.

Super_Honda said on February 3, 2012 at 5:16 a.m.

@60

Well, everyones got their own opinions. You have your opinions and I got my own opinions. I don't play with Yang but I've seen what other people can do with him. In fact, before Yang got nerfed, he didn't exactly have a major success in the tourneys and at that time, Yang was considered to be 1 of the best in vanilla AE. We'll see what happens in the future.

@60 dude. do you remember justin wong using Dan as a joke in a tourney and then actually winning? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIpdgm... here take a looksee.

Plus, it depends on how much character loyalty and unwillingness to accept defeat/failure you have. If a man with crippled hands can learn to play Chun Li on a fight stick and actually be more than just decent, you can win with yang. You are only defeating yourself my friend. Things may be improbable at times but never impossible.

@66 Aww, looks like someone's angry haha. Balrog may be strong consistently but how many times did Balrog win in the tourneys? Not a lot, right? Again, don't talk about Dan because he's a joke character and J Wong was using him for FUN, not for seriousness. I wanted to have a decent conversation with you but its not always easy to have a conversation with negative people like you. You make me laugh. Case closed. If you wanna reply back, then go ahead because I won't reply back.
