@3 Waiting for Dictator too my friend...No fear, our fearless Shadowloo Leader will be here soon enough! ....and hopefully be more of a force in this game...I feel like in SF4, he's decent, but could have used more tools/combos. Hopefully in SFxT, due to the juggling and comboability, I'm hoping Bison can be considered "Top Tier" for once.
@2
Maybe they touched him up to make him look a little more bulkier? The models look a little more polished in this game so this might be the Abel they actually wanted in SSF4, as far as looks go.
@1 Agreed on the sound.
Vega looks pretty decent, but as @1 said, There was nothing super special about it or anything.
№10 IMHO thats just wrong! dunno maybbe still he should be much bulkier than he was in SF4, dunno if it should have been that way, but he definitely needs to be smaller than he's in SFxT...dunno he doesn't look to me like he should be that big something about it is wrong...its almost like making Fei_long or Gen size of Hugo LOL
The more videos i see about this game the more hype i get!
@UnTi
Considering the context, it's obviously wasn't going to be a Bison footage.
Anyway, it looks as tho I can play Vega more or less like his SF4's counterpart. With this in mind, tagging is going to be an afterthought when I pick up the game dirt cheap.
Here's a video displaying some combo possibilities. Cant wait to play with my main Balrog he opens the video with some crazy juggling. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6dvSk...
Does anyone else feel there are too many lighting effects in this game? I mean there are too many sparks and glows and flashes just for normal hit animations. Add to this the Gems and also Pandora? Also the saturation in color seems overboard, combined with the overall grungy theme. Maybe looks better in person; hopefully! Excited for the game though

How did they know what our team was going to be in the video? Lol.
I cant be the only one who thinks the weak @ss amount of change for the SF4 cast going into SFxT is almost unacceptable right?
@Roarmonster - Trust me they are all very different in a ton of ways it's just this was my first time ever playing the game and i was just basically playing to win so not very exciting but i did create this to show some potential for this awesome game! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6dvSk...
Maining Bison/Bryan Fury
@9 He's been "Top Tier" for a while now. Maybe not S Tier, but if you look back at as far as Hyper Fighting to ST, maybe not so much in the Alpha games (pretty much mid tier), but there's also CvS2 to Vanilla SF4 to SSFIV to AE to 2012, he's always been hovering around the top if not at the top. Depending on each iteration he just has a very solid base, whether its semi-turtle or semi-rushdown style of play.
Click on the guys (TheShadowloo) channel on YouTube for this video. He has a bunch of other matches.
Vega and Guy are my mains....Announce Guy already!
@31
Asking why they included Hugo when they also put Zangief in the game is like asking why did they put Ken in the game when they have Ryu.
#40 LOl just read my #8 post i even explained all the differences! OMG ...
#39 at once i agree here with RedWaltz79 and i guess you just didn't catch his drift...read it between the lines thats my suggestion to you...its not like he's saying its good idea to put more clone-like characters, its him saying that having Ryu and Ken in one game is quite usual, and their tactics and styles are quite identical, so why we can have both of them and not both wrestlers (yet with different technics!) in one game??
@ 34 bison is not cheap. he is hard to deal with sometimes, but he has horrible defense which is something most ppl are too scared to realize as bison sc combos you in the corner all day.
@12 there is much to be excited for actually. Vega has a very strict amount of combos he is able to perform as a lot of his moves cant juggle too much into each other. Thats the case with the leaping kick(cosmic heel) that he linked into the k.o against zangief in the first round. you couldnt ever do that in any iteration with vega. only one special or normal before reset.
Hence the fact that he can do cosmic heel xx cr. mk xx cr. mp xx ex. barcelona drop means his combo potential has been unleashed. especially with his ultra which was arguably the best in ssf4 on, only held back by the charge time and lack of combo potential.
Love vega lol. Will main him forever.
To the J@&K A$$ who said "just ssf4 stuff, not much to see here" :
You are an idiot. you obviously know nothing about vega. Two of those combos were not in ssf4, were extremely practical, and show major proof of vega's combo potential. In ssf4 vega is mostly a poking character, but here we see RCF made fast enough to be used in combos, and cosmic heal now has many more viable uses in a match. It looks like vega will both be able to build meter through longer blckd combo strings and use meter better through more practical and useful combo extensions.
This game does look really horrible. Like honestly I dont care what reasons you guys have for liking this game what in the hell is there that has even 1 ounce of hype in it for this game? It aint like most other fighters where before they come out you see gameplay and your like oh man this looks so CRAZY HYPED! Things like Marvel and SCV and as much as I dont like the game even MK at least looked new and fresh and exciting. This........this just looks like ass, and very boring to boot. Every single combo in this game will come down to 123+3 like really?
@47 i like the way the game looks. so i will buy it. i also love mk9. so i bought it. Its all a matter of opinion. Just respect ours and we will respect yours.
just saw another video with the combo cr. mp xx ex scarlet terror x2 and he was canceling it into a tag to further the combo but he got the ko. It was orgasmic lol.
@#18 i hear you... i too am a bit on the weird side regarding the visuals of the game, saturation is to much, making the game look to orangy or burnt like. the life bars are weird and enforce the same overall orange feel a lot, the super bar does not quite pop out as i hoped it would, paired with the effects you said, like lightings and whatnot, plus the gems... although i do believe the gems bring some colour in to the game.
@47
I'm not sure how SCV got anyone "crazy hyped," unless you are a diehard fan of the series, since it looked a lot like your standard Soul Calibur game, but with a hyper meter and lacking a lot of favorite characters from the series.
Of course Mortal Kombat is going to seem new, fresh and exciting to you, since there hadn't been a good Mortal Kombat game for years and they were basically rebooting the series.
Same goes for MvC3, since there hadn't been a game from the series in 10 years, of course people were going to get super hyped over it.
On the other hand, SFxT is built on the same engine as SFIV and almost like an extension of that game, like Tekken Tag Tournament was of Tekken 3. If you are bored of SFIV or have no interest in a tag game based on it, with characters from another fighting series alien to Capcom, with new combat mechanics to the fighting game genre and crazy new fun modes, then there is no reason to get hyped.
This probably doesn't look exciting to you because it looks a lot SFIV, which means it doesn't have as flashy of a combat style as a game like MvC3. That doesn't mean there isn't a lot to get excited about. Many people have been waiting for a Street Fighter/Tekken crossover game for years.
and I'm happy to know that I'll still be watching SF4 as the most popular game played worldwide for years to come or at least until part 5 or a new expansion. This game most definitely will not be played seriously unless huge money is involved by any of the top SF4 players, and I'm not only talking about the ones in the US talking worldwide here. Don't even think this game has a cab release, you think Japan is gonna give 2 sh!ts about this game? lol
I'm sure there's something about the game we all don't like by now but deep down we all know we're still buying it. lols
@59
The irony of it all. You claim to be defending freedom of speech, while at the same time telling @56 to shut-up. He is just exercising his freedom of speech to complain about the other posters use of his freedom. Perhaps you should take your own advice?
...freedom of speech? nah...sure they are free to express whatever they like and how they like, but the question is whether it ix all that necessary to express it in all negative way?...if the whinners want to whine well...be my guestm but the thing is that i don't find it necessary at all...they're just wasting their time trying to win argument, which cannot be won on the first place...and as the whole i don't believe there's such thing exist as winning an argument...LOL
We have got a video full of important data that should be discussed and most of the people in this comments section are arguing like idiots over nothing.
On topic: Sagat still kinda looks intact but his forward lk had its distance reduced which will hurt his kara game if he still has it. I also noticed Sagat and Ken can both juggle from an air to air jumping MK which looks good Sagat really does not need that though but I will still play him he probably just got a mixed bag of buffs and nerfs kind of like wesker and zero

Yeah, I know, it was pretty clear that they were talking about CLAW, not DICTATOR, but my mind cheated at me! ^^
Well, the arcade in my neighborhood used a japansese World Warriors cabinet, my Super Nes cartridge was japanese and I never got used to your american notation (I'm brazillian by the way).
But thanks for the vids... I'm still eager to see Vega/M. Bison thought! ^_^
Like most balance assumptions on day -9999999.99, Vega will be considered "top tier" for about a week, before a surge of youtube videos show some broken combinations and they will be whored to the max.
Game still looks like great fun though, day 1 for me, even though my time is busy around that time
If this game ends up being balanced on launch I'll eat my hat. Either way looks fun.
I still feel kinda disappointed when I see the roster, this late in the game, filled with so many holes. Dictator, Guy, and Cody are on the way, but where's Makoto, Dudley, Rose, Sakura, Karin, Blanka, E. Honda, and C. Viper? Oh well, the game looks like a lot of fun and I hope when SF5 goes into development, we'll see more tag-team action with a wider list of SF characters.
who would have thought in a game everybody says is very footsie heavy (especially the pros) that Vega would be great? Vega has always had good footsies and always will. He was super good in CvS2 and super turbo. Next thing you know bison being good will be a shock.
@91
Seriously, they have to put a cap somewhere on roster size or else the game would never be released.
I am surprised that neither Honda nor Blanka are in the game, since they are part of the original 12 and all the rest are in there. DLC?
#93 i'm more than postive they'll make their wat to the game one way or another, but i'm also pretty much sure they won't make it in in initial release date...and all those Cody, Guy, Christie and Leo DLC speculations i don't believe in, because if it were true than Xbox 360 version of the game would have only 42 characters total on initial release date and that is not acceptable and Capcom understands it perfectly...
A little word for those who are yet to see this game in person:
For some reason SFxT when captured on video looks ATROCIOUS. In person the game looks a LOT better, in particular the shader effects which via video captures look pretty awful.
The colour palette is still pretty gaudy but it is not near as garish as appears on video capture.
I felt this was worth mentioning, as until I got to see the game in person in Sydney the other night I too felt it resembled a puddle of pig vomit and cat's p1ss. My opinion on its aesthetics aren't near as negative as they once were - evidently Capcom have been paying attention to the slew of criticism concerning the game's visuals, particularly the shader effects and colour tones.
The HUD still sucks though. The meter indicators aren't bad, but the health bars are awful.
Oh, and one thing worth mentioning is that the characters feel very 'heavy.' Jumping is very immediate and doesn't have IV's floaty feel to it. Character movement feels kind of rigid and inflexible, though I expect this will vary significantly from char to char combined with stuff like speed gems changing things up a bit. Speaking of which, the speed gem when activated on Gief is quite noticeable. I didn't really gauge the difference damage gems offered as I have no familiarity on the damage output in general and assist gems I didn't pick up on much except when I saw flashes indicating they were activated, etc. Random fact: regular grab range is very poor.
The subtle IV character asset changes are nice. The models aren't simply lifted, they have undergone some nice visual tweaks here and there. Ken for example didn't appear as stocky as he does in IV and all character models appeared to have improved interpolation effects over IV also.
@95
Thanks for the details. Very interesting indeed.
Alot of talk about vega(claw), from the vid the player was still able to accomplish doing his sf4 link combos along with the ABC combos. Seeing how that's the case i wonder if link heavy sf4 characters are able to use Link combos and abc to double back onto each other.
Example: vega's s.HP>link c.mp>abc cancel back into s.hp> repeat. If the frame advantage on normals doesnt change on whether doing abc combos i can see it getting pretty nasty in the long run with people doing loops to activate gems. Also another combo that should be possible with Vega is c.mp>s.HP(1hit)>ex.rcf>link c.mp>S.HP(1hit)>ex.rcf> repeat until bar is gone if wanted(possible pandora combo if it ignore damage scaling)
But alot of the combos that vega was doing was basically combos currently able to be done in AE2012. he still wasnt dangerous then.
@#49: it was possible to juggle a normal ST into 1hit of ex ST in the sf4 series. Given the new juggle mechanics i can see where he got the idea of trying it with 2 ex ones.
Anywho i hope they got a restriction of combining abc into sf4 link combos. i can forsee akumas going for S.HK link c.lk>cmk>S.HK> repeat or do his old sf4 jab>S.HK loops given that you dont need to link jab into SHK anymore due to the ABC combo system. Cody and cammy also with fierces linking into light or med atks given there already strong frame traps. Mix that with hit activation speed/power gems its gonna get hectic.
@Rahavic. Hey there's a feature on this site now to block out news you don't want to see. Why don't you use it?
@98 lol no what i meant was that in the video of the vega against seth killian he performs cr. mp xx ex scarlet terror xx cr. mp ex scarlet terror which is not possible in ae. But at this point we can all see that vega can do a lot that he couldnt before.
That vega combo into ultra near the end of the first vid was gl btw.
nah...why the hell Abel is so big here i have an impression he's the same size as Zangief LOL WHY? shouldn't he be like 2 times smaller?!...
