Of course they would add a fighter that's already dead competitively. It seems like that's MLG's move.

Might as well be CGS choosing DoA again. E-Sports will never prosper because the organizers choosing the games have no clue why they're picking it beyond dollar signs and sponsorships.

If Capcom doesn't want to play ball, at least add KOF or something.

So first they add Tekken 6, another dead title, and then MK?
After the tournament they will complain that the fighting games get them no views/hype. eSports killing the community since forever.

Smh honestly I can't really be pissed about it or surprised but I'm really tierd of seeing sf everywhere also so they need SCV in the mix ASAP if they want any chance of garnering any kind of views etc

Karnov's Revenge is way better than SF4.

Hopefully they add Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown, the real King Of Fighters.

They won't take KOF cause it's a good game. MLG specializes in terrible games, don't y'all know that?

MLG hosts tournaments if the publisher allows it. Sundance (MLG's CEO) has hinted at capcom games in the past but obviously something did not work out.

Apparently they wanted money from Capcom for including the games in the past and Capcom just used the "No! Thank You!" they are salty seems that. I remember when they invited spooky to the podcast and tried to tell spooky to organize a tournament without SF or any Capcom games.

Lets be realistic the only two games big enough to even be considered for MLG are SSFIV and MVC.

MK isn't dead. It's far from dead actually. The only people who think it is are people who don't follow it and trolls.

Tom Brady will be satisfied, maybe he'll stop crying now since he doesn't wanna play games that are better competitively (as much as I do love MK9, there are many titles better for competitive play)

@21

I will take your rumor with a grain of salt considering it's no more than word of mouth without a source.

Sigh. It's disappointing that MLG can't get Capcom games on the circuit. Grats people stopping it from happening; you guys did a great job at hurting the community.

If aliens scrutinized the internet, they'd probably think the word "dead" means "gets played at Evo multiple times by hundreds of people."

Let's not confuse all the aliens, guys.

Humm... MK is getting Komplete Edition, that's why it was added, the game is far from dead.

Oh yes! I remember, most people here is still a crying baby about Mortal Kombat kicking the ass of MvC3 in both sales, gamers reviews, official reviews and being named Fighting game of the year. lol

U mad guys?

People just can't accept that just because they choose not to keep up to date with "dead" fighting games, they assume there's not a massive community/fanbase behind each. The line between closed minded fools and trolls are meshing together every damn day =.=

Applause for Eventhubs to jumping into this expansive coverage of more fighting games. Show the children what's up.

Capcom doesn't want their games in MLG and looks like Namco might not be interested as well. Who knows what's Atlus/SNK's stand is on this. So, NRS it is. It being an American company also makes the arrangement easier to manage.

It actually kinds of disgusts me as a competitive fighting game and FPS player, that they added Mortal Kombat, but rejected Gears of War 3. Clearly they have no idea what they're doing. Lots of fighters go one and done in MLG (Smash and Tekken previously) so I think they just try to ride the hype. Soul Calibur will probably be next.
