Even though I like Combofiend, I was rooting for Fanatiq in the grand finals.

Also, ChrisG's Hawkeye is definitely the best in the world. Combofiend should go back to Taskmaster; his Hawkeye sucks.

This is probably the end of Tokido. The way he played in topanga was just a kickoff, and now he's got beaten by players who actually appear lot below his level.
Take Cody player for example. he did Ex zonk all the time. Having played tokido couple of times in casuals, he'd figured all out how to smear murderface with sh!t. and believe me, that cody's gameplay didn't come along anywhere near to momochi or sasaki.
Tokido has a long way to gain his confidence back. even if he does, he's not gonna get vanilla/super/ae akuma to save his arse.
The mai problem with these japanese players is that they sit in arcade all day and play too much. One needs to go out n do some physical exertion to keep healthy both physically and mentally. Therefore no matter how much they practice or how good their execution skills are, they get figured out and choke in the end.

Any idea where I can watch the AE portion? What time does it start in the video; I couldn't find it. Or is there a separate archive?

@SeoulZombie

I've scanned through the whole video looking to get characters the players used. I don't think it was streamed unless it was done on a second stream that I am unaware of.

@19 I don't think they streamed any AE this time. Marvel took forever; as previously stated, there were over 100 entrants.

@25 Thank you.

Bit disappointed not to see AE this week but as already pointed out it woz super hectic. I think they pulled the plug at 2:30am local time. Not really a marvel man but losers final and grand for UMvC was so hype.

What a great turnout for Street Fighter. Such a damn shame that a terrible game like UMvC3 gets all the stream time instead.

Are you sure Combofiend used Oni? He's been using Abel a lot again since 2012 dropped.

What a great GF. Combofiend was pixels from winning the whole thing on the 4th match but fanatic survived. I was actually wanting to watch the AE 2012 tourney but I guess they didn't record those matches.
