#3, stop trying to start yet another MVC2 vs MVC3 debate.
#5 no offense to SFilp but...typos are kinda his thing. but still what you say still holds true in other cases. i guess people just get mindf***ed by the S noise coming from a P? no excuse other than being unfamiliar with the english language and theres nothing really wrong with that.
@3 So the other games are fake Marvel? I never knew.
This has me wanting to break out my old Dreamcast copy....man I miss this game. Never was any good at the TOD combos in UMVC3; it's nice to see good old fashioned small combos and shenanigans.
Romneto is such trash, worst display of MSP, makes me want to throw up seeing this awful gameplay. VDO is still legit for using a low tier team
#13
No, it's the game you're better AT. There's a difference.
#15
About time someone else finally gets it.
That was a really good set although to be fair to Romneto it looked like he dropped a few combos - may have been an online thing - but still, VDO was amazing!
@12
Dude, you can see that this 2 players are simply in different levels by the quality of their plays. VDO was simply a monster and outplayed Romneto most of the time. Even if you have a god tier team you can lose if the other is a better player than you. As simple as that.
#19
That's pretty much the same for every game that isn't outright broken, though. The tier lists in games are created on the basis that both players are of equal skill levels. If a new player picks a god tier team against a seasoned player picking a low tier team, that new player is going to get bopped, no matter who he picks.
Not saying Brett is new at all. VDO is just that much better than he is.

The skill gap between VDO and me is not as large as you and a few other people believe. I uploaded our second FT10 yesterday where we both used mid tiers. I won 10-5 using Charlie/Iceman/Thanos.
As with most (if not all) fighting games, character and team matchups are crucial and must be taken into consideration. VDO is very skilled/experienced at fighting vs MSP whereas he has less experience and greater difficulty against my mid tier - Cha/Ice/Tha. His assists (Ken AAA and Colossus AAA) match up very favorably against MSPs assists.
That said, VDO is an exceptional player that undoubtedly outplayed me in the first FT10. His blocking and overall defensive/counter calling abilities are impressive. Since most of my usual rushdown sequences were ineffective vs him, I was forced to go outside of my comfort zone and ended up in many high risk/low reward scenarios. I'm glad that the risk ratios were changed in the second FT10.

Funny to see you quoting on skills when you stop playing me in Marvel after I out classed you and then you kicked me from your friends list Noisy.LOL
Enough with the shout out.
@ Romento will you guys be uploading the 2nd to FT10 set. LOL I play Thanos as well. Would love to see how VDO played Rogue in that set and how you used the bubble assist for mixups against her and Colossus.

You are clearly hating on me. I've defeated many very skilled MSP players using my MSP both online and on Dreamcast. In the next FT10 I defeated VDO using my best mid tier team: Charlie/Iceman/Thanos by a score of 10-5.
#19
VDO definitely outplayed me in the first FT10. I won our second FT10 with my Charlie/Iceman/Thanos by a score of 10-5. That shows that we are relatively on the same skill level. As I wrote before, matchups are a very important element that should not be overlooked. VDO is very skilled and experienced at fighting MSP. He has less experience vs Charlie/Iceman/Thanos. That made a major difference.

And you are?
Doesn't matter. I'd most likely stomp you out with Frank or Chris. I won't even use any main teams.
#21
So it's matchup experience. Duly noted.

Why not prove your theory? Post your GT and I'll happily rape you.
