The Mad Catz Tekken Tag Tournament 2 FightSticks are now available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and the Wii U for $159.99. The Wii U's version connects to the Wiimote via a 3' long cable.

This is first time the Tournament Edition FightStick line have been available on a Nintendo platform. These all feature the Sanwa Denshi ball-handled joystick and 30mm buttons all designed to match the Namco Noir arcade cabinet configuration.

In related news, WWE Brawl sticks are still $29 on Amazon. Scrape off the vomit-inducing art, spend $30 and you have a stick functionally identical to this one for 40% of the price.

I like the one with the green trim, sad I don't use arcade sticks.

I'd get one for the Wii U to play TvC but I run the risk of the peripheral not working with regular Wii games. If I recall, only regular Wii peripherals work with the Wii U's backwards compatibility. However for the other consoles; Madcatz isn't giving me too much of a reason to retire the MvC2 TE stick.

I have one of these for the PS3, and I'll say it's the best version of the TE yet. PC compatibility is alot better, the padded bottom is a nice touch, and the Noir arcade layout is just way more comfortable than the Viewlix.

Kind of cool to see the wii u get a fightstick. That was my biggest concern. Maybe this means theres potential for more fighters to eventually be brought to the wii u

@6 I don't know, maybe they forgot to check. The real question is why not just use the infered scanner to read on it. This also makes the Stick Wireless (which can't be good for fighters) and the first Fightstick to require batteries :P

@5 The fact it connects through the wiimote means the system (probably) sees it as a classic controller, that's how the Tatsunoko stick works. Just tried using my TvC stick on Sonic Transformed and it sees it as a classic controller. It would work on TvC no problem.

@6 Perplexes me too. I'm guessing that they don't have access to the usb drivers for some weird reason.
