Hitting U.S. shelves on March 19, 2013, Dead or Alive 5 Plus for the PlayStation Vita will offer a first person fighting mode, which Tecmo Koei showed off for the first time in a new set of screen shots. There will also be some costumes, which are currently only announced for the Japanese collector's edition, but will more than likely be available for gamers every where at some point.

The Japanese collector's edition will also come with a beginner's guide to gravure as well as a code that will allow you to download something described as an extreme gravure movie. Hit the jump to see the full details.

Touch Play Mode - "Two new styles of touch combat with the PS Vita held vertically in portrait mode to get a first-person, full-screen view of your opponent at maximum size. In Mode 1, tap the opponent to attack them in that spot. In Mode 2, touch, flick, and pinch the screen to attack your opponent with more finesse and options."

Training Plus Mode - "Build your fighting skills and knowledge by playing through challenging missions."

More Detailed Frame Data - "Three times the details for each move in real-time," including information on "delay interval frames, move reach and more."

First Person mode, wow!......THAT sounds useful. We should also make a top down mode as well so it makes it seem you're playing a SHMUP/Fighter

LOL SHMUP/Fighter. Sounds like an actual game. Wait didn't SNK already do that?

Anyways i am really interested to see the gameplay. Also every time Tecmo post news it always seems like there are double meanings laced throughout.

There's nothing here that interest me except that beach background which seems to possibly be a new level. I don't care for the costumes, only new or more characters, DLC levels, dlc modes are the on the thing that's worth mentioning. The game has enough DLC costumes which are all petty.

@Chris_IWS i don't know about that seeing as how i'm not even close to a fan. Never played any DOA and i'm realy curious as the only FPF i played was this boxing sim in arcades.

well i can't believe no one mentioned about the graphics shown by the screenshots. the graphics looks superb by vita standards, honestly i didn't think that the graphics could be this good, but wow this looks on par or about the same like its console counterpart!

now i just wish they'll give the console version an update to have all these extras coming with this version, the detailed frame data is what i want most, but i'll be satisfied enough if they just bring the extra stages n costumes over in the end....although i'm sure they won't give it for free lol.

So the Vita basically is the ultimate fighting game collection with no original titles besides Persona 4 Golden or what.
