His art is BEAUTIFUL! It'd be amazing to win the 1st place!

Very cool contest. I wonder if the submission has to be drawn? What about a sculpture (like the Raptor prize being offered).

I REALLY hope that they bring SonSon into DarkStalkers 4. She deserves a home and between her weirdness, her heavy mythological history, and the giant ape transformation she would fit PERFECTLY in the DS universe. Plus she doesn't have a series or anything anymore so it's not like they'd be folding two worlds into one like they did with Final Fight and Street Fighter.

Van Helsing might be a good idea, we need more vampire hunters in the series.

@StarGalaxy777 Depends on if there's any terms and conditions gobbledyguk for that contest and what they outline. Unless specified otherwise, something you drew and submitted is your property, but I hear even if they pretty much say they gain the rights to your submission, it's still tough for them to defend in court and so most companies don't risk it. For all intents and purposes, though, this contest just seems to be for a commission from that artist, so I don't think it matters.

I should put my boy Khuntry on this, winner of Capcom Unity's Mega Man fan art competition and one of the winners of MvC3's pre-release fan art drives. He's serious business and I think we can create a pretty cool monster/fighter.

And I have a feeling this contest will go beyond having a star artist doing a rendition of the character...

Totally agree with the people want to sonson/red earth characters in DS in a Street Fighter/ Final Fight sense (which I always found pretty cool about SF.)As for the contest, would enter but my drawing sucks so props to the artists that enter this (hope to see something like a dullahan or a golem take first place.)

Im gonna enter a concept for the Mexican folklore monster La Llerona. You use her to scare children asleep. Shes a spirit who walks thru the night crying for her children who she drowned. Add the folklore of Los Ojos and El Cucuy and you will have one amazing DSAND character.

I just see this as a confirmation of 8 new characters for the next Darkstalkers assuming Resurrection does well enough.

OK SAGAT ARMY, THIS IS OUR CHANCE TO PUT SAGAT IN DARKSTALKERS!

I suggest we all submit a design for the mythical creature Sagat. He is said to reside in the mountains of Thailand, next to a fallen statue. A practitioner of Muay Thai, he somewhat inexplicably shoots fire from his hands while screaming "TIGER!"

He also cares for a rather misplaced coconut tree.

I know 3 professional artist who are obsessed with Darkstalker characters and most likely gonna be at this, and are probably going to win. That said, I'll give this a whirl.
