Thanks for this. Missed the stream, and I wanted to watch this as well.
5,000 people stopped watching when SFXTekken came on. There was 22,000 people, and it went down to 15,000, then slowly to 17,000 people.
This game is alright, but its boring to watch, its still Street Fighter X Timeout.
the game isn't updated yet and i haven't watched it yet but it could have been the players as some haven't adapted to the different train of thought and tactics needed to better play this game.
@6
not surprised.
this is the FIRST time i didn't turn off the stream during SFxT (SFxT finals)
the only real reason for that, is because this was actually top-top level play of the game(haven't bothered even watching since the game came out and was boring).... i just hope top-level play is actually interesting in the next version
man I was really rooting for sethlololololololololo.... I love his team and his tech with kuma was godlike. Seriously, how he humped the floor to avoid ex messiah kick from rufus... GODLIKE. Deep down though, I knew he wasn't gonna win. Infiltration, as boring and annoying his team is, understands this game better than anyone in the world. I just hope sethlolololololo keeps his team and keeps the law and paw dream alive.
@6
Taking that as a sample, then wouldn't it be correct to say that over 75% which is a significant majority don't find it boring as hell?
@11
People are saying the same thing about AE grand finals.
Seems like the pro players gameplay its just back and safe boost combos, just watch that f...ing rolento and ryu, so thats why there is a lot of time ups in tourneys, is not a timer issue is a just safe boost combos and low risk high reward things in this game (the random shoryu into safe and with advantadge tag cancel is one of these things)
What you guy fail to realize is that Infiltration's entire game was not to fight you. From the very start(NCR) he team was purposely designed to run the clock on you while he held life lead. He took a very professional approach to this game and exploited one of the common flaws the game had and built a play style that rewarded him for it. It's not his job to make the game look good, it's his job to win and if timing people the f*ck out while making this game seem boring as possible happens, so be it, it's efficient, for now. He's a true professional achievements, his thus far show it.
I don't respect his game plan, because it was(boring for the most part) the cause for a lot of unwanted criticism(a lot of it ignorant and ill informed)I do however respect his ability as a player to be able to dissect a game to its core weakness and use that to his advantage.
Strange, when I watch the matches, Infiltration and Tokido kept going in for mixups. They trade a lot of hits with each other. If there is any reason for the time outs it is because they aren't doing enough damage fast enough to beat the life recovery.
I think SFXT all in all did a very good showing in this tournament, so in that sense Capcom achieved their goal. There were some amazing matches with Tatsu, Sethlolol and others, and it's very interesting that such teams that were a lot of fun to see got so far with so many top players around, and speaks volumes about how good this game will be once the two problems left, timeouts and dominant ABC footsies dissapear with 2013 patch.
@6 So losing 5000 viewers against the most watched fighting game nowadays and still getting 17000 people watching the matches is bad? Sorry but I don't think so, on the contrary.
Congrats to Infiltration, the GFs were not too exciting, but that's a problem with infiltration altogether, his style is as effective as boring to see in any game he plays, and I think @16 has the best explanation I've seen about it.
