Dead or Alive 5 Christmas costumes coming to consoles December 11, Playstation Vita version current build running close to 60 frame per second

Dead or Alive 5 producer Yosuke Hayashi was in attendance at the grand finals of the Japanese official tournament series that took place yesterday. The grand finals were played on a version of Dead or Alive 5 that featured some new Christmas costumes that will be hitting consoles as DLC on December 11.

Also, according to SGCafe, Hayashi stated that the team did not want Dead or Alive 5 Plus, the Playstation Vita version of the game, to be seen as inferior to the console version. The current build of DoA 5 Plus is running at close to 60 frames per second.

Below you can check out some off-screen images of the new costumes and Dead or Alive 5 plus.

Could have at least made the Christmas costumes look different per character...really hope these will not be purchasable and just free...Nice to be able to rape as Santa/Bayman though. Giving people a real gift to celebrate.

60 frames on a handheld? win

#2 chances are it will be free since they did not already announce a price and its...Christmas theme the time for giving but we have to wait and see. Don't really care for Holiday theme outfits to begin with but then again seeing Gen Fu dressed as Santa is win

vita version is looking good and at 60 fps, hopefully we'll get cross play with PS3 version, that would be amazing!

From the videos I've seen, the Vita version is missing three character slots. Does it mean that the port will not have the three VF characters? That automatically makes it inferior to the console version.

I knew they'd do this. So cool! But it'd have been better if they were a bit personalized or different colors at least.
