Awesome, can't wait for it to begin. I'm rooting for Daigo! But, I'll be happy if any Japanese player takes it. I think this will be the best tournament we've had in a long time. Hopefully the stream will be in HD...
I'm very interessted in this new Fireball playstyle of Daigo what Fuudo was talking about. Maybe he really reached a new level with his Ryu.
none or less, this will be an awesome tournament, so i dont really care whos gonna win. i'm enyoing this hell of an tournament. so, good luck to all the warriors ^__^
Btw, Aero Rockman can't make it too and kenpachi from Belgium will take his spot.
@ #5: Stream isn't due to start for about 30 minutes.
I am not a tournament player so all I care about are the two special announcements. I hope that I hear something about TxSF, CvS, or SFA3.
Please get somebody that can actually PLAY SFxT to do the exhibition. I almost died of boredom when K-Brad and PR Balrog were playing. They had week 1 moves.
@11 Really, Dieminion? He has a great Guile, but it's still Guile. Has his past performance indicated at all that he can take down any of the other killers in the bracket?
I think it's a complete toss up, but if I had to say I think Infiltration has the best shot since his Akuma is so versatile against all the different matchups.
ST tournament is great so far. I predict that any 1 of those 3 players to win: Damdai, Afrolegends or John Choi.
Ultrachen lets GOOOOOOOOOOOO!
jwong/daigo/fuudo/infil will take ae i think. C'MONNNN Daigo !!
Not the biggest sf2 fan but it is a classic, and it certainly wasn't awful to watch.
Even though I'm not really a big fan of 3rd Strike, I would like to see my main character, Urien, to win this tournament. But, I think MOV will win this and Momochi to take 2nd place.
Can't watch because the advertisement won't finish loading!!!
the tournament is running very fast. They should do 3/5 for all games.
I would like to see Mago, Fuudo, Momochi and Dieminion play well at SSF4 tournament. As for SFxT tournament, I would like to see Momochi, Tatsu and Jibbo to play well. Should be great.
Sorry Ultra David but snakeeyez isn't the 'best gief in the world'. You guys have to stop saying that about every US player you know lol
then he will say krone has the best viper in the world.
mago counters everything he has. Wolfkrone wants to pick a stage that's harder for spacing and counter. In training stage, you can look at the blocks and spacing easier.
Daigo's Ryu is in another league. I don't think any Ryu can beat Dieminion this free.
@56, it would different if American can send 1000 vs 10. 7 vs 9 is hard.
Well if the top 3 SSFIV qualifiers all representing the past 4 evo champions doesnt cement EVO as THE premiere FG tournament of the world I dont know what does. Stats dont lie, and this 25th Anniversary tournament real brought in the cream of the crop.
Gamerbee, why? Why did you stick with Yun?
Snake Eyez tied for 5th, not bad. That's no doubt better than people expected a Zangief player to place in this tournament. Good stuff to him.
Now it's all down to three EVO champs - Daigo, Infiltration, and Fuudo. Can't wait!
@60 so when marn and justin went to europe and bodied everybody else it didnt mean anything? and what european has won a major in the US again? stay free. nice sh1t from problem x though. cheers mate as you peeons... i mean 'peans say.
and that is pretty cool that every SF4 evo winner is in top 3. LETS GO DAIGO!!!!!
I'm curious to see if Daigo will choose Yun over Ryu for the Akuma match-up.
Infiltration has been dominating a lot of top-class pros, but when he met Kazunoko in the Canada Cup 2012, he got bodied hard.
Besides, this argument is pointless. We're all inferior the Japanese anyhow. We're just fighting for second or third depending if we count Korea in all of this. Seems the Western World can't do anything right these days, from Economics to Street Fighter.
Team EG is still in SFxT which they are very strong in.
#87
lol they have the sheer numbers to at least have one of them be in top 8, thats nothing to be proud of. US played piss poor and Europe played better and actually looked like they were not gonna lay down and take it up the key hole
#89 What? Japan has much worse off economy in comparison please don't talk out of your ass please
@89 i hope you're not trying to infer that the eastern part of the world has any good economic model. please no.
I have a feeling infiltration will win. I do though think Daigo is a better player hands down. I think infiltration is getting "somewhat" by on Akumas outrageous tools. Plus its a bad mu for Ryu. Even if Daigo loses infiltration won't ever accomplish what Daigo has no one will he's a living legend. I know some young 8, and 9 yr olds who know who Daigo is.
Haunts should stream EVO this year!! Godlike work with SF25th anniversary.
