You guys realize Spike's VGA's has next to no credibility? They make two kinds results; safe wins and "look at us we has underground nerd cred" wins. The former happens much more often.

Glad to see persona took home the award, it truly deserved it:D. A real underated fighter that needs more love,hopefully this will give it some much needed attention.

I still think P4A is only a crap game with the Persona label on it. GG and BB are way better.

They didn't even show the category on the main broadcast, not even on a commercial bumper or a scrolling ticker, now there is something we should be complaining about. >:(

So happy Persona 4 Arena won, this game is VERY FUN to play. and the best part is, you can play even if your not good, but if you play against a pro, the pro will beat your ass. Pretty much how it is in UMVC3 and Super SFIV. There's no steep learning curve unless you really want to master it.

Dead Or Alive stood no chance against Persona or Tekken Tag 2. Glad Persona won even if its dying in the FGC.

I want to say "Congratulations" or something, but I can't shake the feeling that it won just because people like the Persona series in general and not just specifically this game over the other nominees...

Either way though, to those who -do- pay attention to this stuff, I hope it still gets P4A some more love.

People don't like P4A because it isn't Marvel or Street Fighter. No super awesome comeback mechanic that has an autocombo system.

An autocombo system that heavily scales damage and is next to useless after you reach a certain skill level.

You guys need to stop whinin' and actually learn matchups and play the game instead of ****riding FChamp and the rest of the Superiority Complex FGC.

Marvel ain't everything, people. P4A is a great game and I want to devote more time into it.

@24 i agree completely.it sucks but hey thats the fgc for you...a bunch of hypocritical sheep.its a real shame that anything that doesnt have the capcom logo on it is pretty much ignored by a majority of the fgc, which sucks because this really is a great game(even though i still kinda suck lol). I mean people gave SFxT a chance despite all the hate it got, so why cant they do the same for Persona?Instead they are too busy calling it a "weeaboo fighter" while bandwagoning the opinions of fgc "celebs".Also as much as i love AE and Marvel, they are not the only FGs out there guys, dont be afraid to try other games.Who knows you just may end up liking it, if not then thats okay too. At least you tried the games yourself instead of forming your opinion based off of some of the top players. I swear people really need to branch out more...

I'm super glad this game won. It's really amazing, and more people should play it. On an unrelated note, I really want to find a copy of Aquapazza for cheap.

I'm glad P4A got the award. The guys at Atlus and Arc System Works did an amazing job on the game.

Congratulations to the other participants, too.

Yet and still SFxT is the most played and purchased fighter in the category.

Lame Spike awards are one thing, but it seems the "FGC" failed to speak with it's wallet, yet again. Shame too, cuz the game that won is the one that's dying the fastest.

@32 sfxt died way faster than p4a,and just because a game sells more on release,doesnt mean its a great game,if your talking consistency,ttt2 and p4a did do better than sfxt

#32 cool, it's played more and sold more. It's also had by far, the most hatred and shunning attitudes by the majority of the vocal FGC, and had very bad publicity stunts so yeah, numbers aren't the only factor.

Good job P4A, I was rooting for yah!
