Street Fighter meets Mortal Kombat - live action short features battle between Reptile and Akuma

The guys over at Phantom Rat Films have put together a live action short that features two of the most popular fighting game franchises today in an awesome cross over. Mortal Kombat's Reptile faces Akuma from Street Fighter in a battle to the death.

This short film is competing in the Machinima Interactive Film Festival. If you'd like to cast a vote for this video, you can do so here.

Needed some more dramatic sound effects and some better music.

Akuma does his foot slam stance thingy and it just goes *tap*. Does not feel right.

I'd rather play Xtekken. . . were they missing a reptile move? they put in the spit, force ball thing, and invisibility but i feel he had 1 or 2 more.

Anyone else notice how many animations/live action shorts pertaining to fighting games there have been recently? I think it's a good thing.

Wouldn't be the only game you can survive an incoming Raging Demon. MvC2 lets you push guard raging demons.

So far everything that was co produced or sponsored by I am 8 bit has been absolute trash. It seems incredibly cheesy and not well thought out and choreographed. Heavily dissapointing as this could have been really good. It looks so rushed. Like they made it in 20 mins

I actually thought it was really well done! The choreography wasn't bad and the costumes were actually pretty good. That definitely looked like Alpha era Akuma, with the bare feet and that blue color (his Alpha art always gave him really blue colors). What amazed me most, though, was the make-up on Akuma! That was actually really good, I thought. His eyes and face looked very intense and distinct and I've yet to see another live action Akuma do anything like that.

Wow this was unexpected but plesantly refreshing, instead of Sub zero and Scorpion or Ken and Ryu they choose the third Shoto and the third Male ninja.
