last month or two i've been playing vffs, the first i've taken seriously and it's the best fighting game out there bar none. It's a real shame no one plays it. Don't listen to the douchebag comments it's great to watch high level play aswell. I'm just as dumbfounded when i hear people complain about fighters being too easy these days and comeback mechanics yet there's a game that is fighting in it's purist form.

Persona was so hype saturday.Souji pretty much bodied all the US players in casuals, even SKD got bopped.ggs to all of them nontheless,but it kinda proves that the US is free to japan in this game.only people that came close were LK and SKD.

Marvel 3 is a bad game -_- I feel like the community is putting time and effort in to salvage it, not because its mechanics are fabulous

Love to see the east coast hold it down in both major tournaments.

Chris g has the best team in marvel. Every character is a problem, you have 2 entirely diffent play styles with morrigan and vergel, which makes it practically impossible to adjust to like that on the fly. And doom missles rule the world. Best team plus the best player, only chris g can beat himself at this point.

Also, loved seeing rufus get bodied by guile. If the tier list says its a matchup in rufus favor, well that pretty much defeats the purpose of a tier list because i suspect, the last ten matches between rufus guile in a major between 2 equally matched players, guile has been winning those matches. Real results should beat out theory.

Well they have a reason to be angry. There were so many killers in the bracket and there were 6 streams yet they only put SCV and DOA5 on (not that I don't enjoy watching those games). Surely it couldn't have been hard to put a few matches on Jaxel's stream or any of the other 4.

Props to Chris G for taking another one. I think everyone underestimates Chris as a player. He's not just good because he can play morri-doom he's a solid player. As we saw in the tournament you can't just pick morri-doom and expect a win; yeah I'm talking to you Josh Wong. Anyways, I thought the tournament was a bit lack-luster in terms of talent. I expected PR Rog and Ricky to do better in both ae and umvc3. Marlinpie, god of execution, but doesn't help if you can't block.

Loved that Alpha-152 won a tourney. Very unexpected. The whole event was fantastic. Having 4-5 windows opened with different and great games was awesome! :D

@19 - VF has way better characters, Jacky Bryant, his sister Sarah, Wolf Hawkfield, Vanessa Lewis, Jeffery McWild, Brad Burns, Lau Chan, Kagemaru, these characters are way cooler than boring guys like Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Dan, etc.

As much as i love me some Marvel, i have to admit that it was pretty boring this turnout.the only memorable moment for me was Roachking's popoff when he beat Flocker.Dat Dance!! And about people complaining about top 32,i think it was for the better,to allow more exposure to the other games. Like i said i love Marvel but its not the only fighting game out there guys~_~.

And to answer @suicidali's post, the reason BB got some decent coverage was because some of the top BB players from japan were competing at the event for it, they also competed in Persona and Guilty gear aswell.

It would have been nice to get some news about what was happening in top 32 for SFIV and UMvC3 before it happened. Why no online brackets?

@71 Dude Spooky was pulling in around 7k viewers throughout most of Sunday, because of what they chose to stream. The moment AE got on it went up to about 12-13k then 14-15k viewers once marvel got on. Obviously the majority wanted AE and Marvel and we got shafted for MK, DOA and other bs.

There were five other streams going on, and they couldn't spare one for marvel top 32?

Man i am a BIG VF FS fan. But truth be told. VF characters even though appealing mechanic wise aren't really appealing appeal wise if you get my drift. I find it ridiculous that people rant on VF without knowledge of the game but i find it even more idiotic that people who like VF say ITS so superior to other games, its the best game bla bla bla. I would agree to the fact the VF is the fighting game franchise with the most mechanics and one of the deepest fighter out there but that doesnt mean its the best. That is SO damn relative. It all depends on what you are looking for in a fighting game. VF isn't really understandable for people without deep knowledge of the game which is why people hate on it so much. All they see is low punches with a couple of others moves thrown out for reasons they dont grasp. Thats why they dont like it. Cause if you dont understand it, its pretty much the same as watching your mom and your little sister playing one against another mashing buttons like crazy.

With all this said. It all comes down to which system and pace you like best. So please stop talking badly about things you don't understand and please stop thinking that your game is the best cause its "IN YOUR OPINION" the deepest fighter out there.

Sonic Boom vs. Sonic Boom was more entertaining than Soul Fist vs. Soul Fist. Sonic Boom meter gain was nerfed. Time to nerf meter gain during Astral Vision and any other hyper that still allows meter gain while still active.

Bee vs fanatiq was recorded from someone. I remember seeing a person record it. Now the run back was done afterwards in another room and only a handful of people was able to watch it. Not gonna reveal the score tho to prevent '' exposion''
