BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma on it's way to PlayStation 3

BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma on it's way to PlayStation 3 Accroding to this week's Famitsu, BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma is on it's way to PlayStation 3.

The report does not mention an Xbox 360 version, however it's unclear if the magazine's chart does not list it or if Sinobi forgot to transcribe it.

Sinobi, which gets Famitsu in advance of its Thursday release date, says that the PS3 conversion is listed in the magazine's PS3 release schedule. The release schedule lists the game as date TBA. The arcade version, which runs on Taito's Type-X2 arcade board, has been announced for Winter release.

Oh! So we may not wait for a whole year in America for this game to hit up our consoles. Those are some good news actually.

Fun fact: Remember GGXX^ Plus? That game pressumed to have a release date this summer? What happened that all of a sudden nobody talks about it?

A TBA with a ps3 logo doesnt exactly tells us anything, magazines sometimes put these kinds of things, doesnt mean we'll get the game early, at most we can expect a console version at april/may 2013, but this is just speculation anyway

Where are people getting the idea that you wont have to wait a year. This just confirms its coming to console but no arcade games release a console version at the same time as arcade ver. BBCP still wont be out for consoles till sometime 2013.

Did the TC really miss the difference between IT'S and ITS?

Was looking up the release dates for Blazblue CT and CS, and founded that they have a common date release. If CP follows this release as well expect the Arcade version to come out late November and the PS3/Xbox-360 version between June and July of 2013.

well i doubt it'll be out under a year,its just unheard of for an arc game.I do however want to get my hands on it as soon as possible.

Although it would be a good idea to get the game out before 2014, where the new game consoles are rumors to be released. This guarantee it'll be on ps3 at least. BB also would be the only fighting game to come out summer 2013,which would be a pretty sweet opportunity for them.

Just because you linked to Andriasang doesnt mean you can just cut and paste the article verbatim and then change 2 words and call it your own post.

So, should I wait for Chrono Phanatasm to come out? Or should I get EXTEND? I've been wanting to get into BlazBlue for a while now. Not sure if I should just wait for get into it now and get some experience.

Basically it's up to you. EXTEND is a game you can buy tomorrow if you go to your local Gamestop, and the latest localized version of the franchise, but Chrono will be the fad when it comes out, which can be in a year, maybe more, maybe less. If your urgency to play some Blazblue is so high you can't stand it, go get Extend and trade it for Chrono when it comes out. Else you can get P4A instead. That would be my advice.

A lot of PS3 love lately from developers, I always heard it was harder to program games for PS3 than XBox360.

Ah, well I just don't want to get into CP as a complete noob. I have P4A already though. Would it be redundant to have both P4A and EXTEND or something?

Most likely BBCP will be on the PS3 only in Jap and Multiplatform rest of the world.

Can't wait to get my hands on it :3

wait wait so I dont understand something...So blazblue keeps getting updates and obviously the players must buy them to keep up to date right? Why does no one every say bad things about arc system works trying to milk their games, yet capcom always gets sh*t for making another version. Can someone please explain? No disrespect, I am just curious.

@21 Because everyone loves to hate Capcom for some unknown reason.

@ 21 you sure don't understand.

Not only has Capcom had a long, long history of releasing their most popular fighters in 3 ibstallments but it's carrying over to their other titles...(RE 6 and Asura's Wrath).

Blaz Blue has 2 full games and 1 count em' 1 solitary expansion pack. CP will be a new game as well. So there's no correlation whatsoever to what Capcom has been known to do.

Get it??

Well they sure dont look like new games, seems like they just added 4 new characters. If it was actually a new game it be blazblue 2.

@Skyline

The first BlazBlue was Calamity Trigger(CT), the second was Continuum Shift(CS) which had a free upadate (CSII) with dlc characters, and expansion Extend(CSEX) it was basically CSII with the CT's story mode included. ChronoPhantasma(CP) is BB3.

Lol just because they don't number their games means very little.

You probably should stop commenting on matters you're not too clear on.

@23: There's more than one retail release/installment of Asura's Wrath?? Do share that source, son!

Also, that is why I'm not buying RE6 until the "Platinum Edition" comes out ~9mos later.

For $%#%^$ Sake they JUST released one! ENOUGH BB RE-RELEASES!! This is getting sillier then SF2 and SF4 COMBINED!! Hell it's worse then Madden! Least it only comes out ONCE a year.

To the people saying BB CS had a FREE update giveing you the DLC that is a LIE! The updated "version" is a game of the year type disc with the DLC unlocked(even though it was on the regular's disc) if you do not buy THAT disc you STILL have to buy it for your normal copy.

@27

Not that there are two versions of Asura's Wrath, but there is content on that game that shouldn't have been reserved for DLC. That game is just a plethora of button pressing sequences no real substance.
