Look at that, a dev team being transparent with a fighting game and not treating certain information like it can threaten national security when it gets out. It seems the world is still spinning, too. And this stuff not a week after the game was revealed.
Okay, game companies? It doesn't hurt to get certain info out in the open. It doesn't kill hype. No need for tediously manipulated information control. I wish more companies were this open. I don't want the game leaked, just things like this that don't hurt to be shared.
I never understood the hate for this franchise while ones like GG and P4A receive so much praise. The characters themselves are pretty bland (in my opinion), but I for one like the gameplay mechanics. I am sad that it looks like there will be no Murakumo Units (Nu or Lambda), since they were my mains in previous installments. I guess it just gives me more incentive to try out the new characters. I'm looking forward to it.

wow anybody who says this isn't a sequel must be seriously delusional.
- Overhaul on the game mechanics
- The neutral poses have been redrawn for all the characters
- New moves
- Changed moves
- The stages are all new(over 11! from what i counted, which is more than sfxt, p4a,and vmvc3 have.)
- Costumes for some of the characters are different
- New BGMs
- Three new characters added and more most likely to be revealed(tell by hazama teaser)and ported over as with every arcade release of bb
- Huge new story
This is a sequel my friends
I was hoping for Drive Cancel (as in a Super Cancel from Persona 4 Arena).
Example: Death Spike or Hell Fang (> Additional Attack) > Carnage Scissors
Sorry for double post because I unable to edit.
Also, it's like Sengoku Basara: Party (3: Utage), like that game has no Hideyoshi & Hanbei, this game has no Lambda & Nu
Ragna from here only seems o have one new move, ok good ganna wait to see the gameplay changes he gets
Also this game, FINALLY BB3. Thats what I have been waiting for
I want this game right now. my main characters have like 2 or 3 new special moves and I love what Amane moves look like, shouldn't I? BBCP for EVO 2013 I am pretty sure.
@#15
BB has a very little chance of ever being a main game at EVO again. The number of entries for BB was terrible every year that it's been there. EVO 2013 will most likely be comprised of...
- SSFIV:AE
- UMvC3
- TTT2
- P4U
- KoFXIII
- DoA5/Injustice/SFxT (if Capcom get their crap together)
BB3 will be a guaranteed to have a side tounament though.
Hope they buff Rachel back up...they nerfed her terribly in the latest one.
@17
"every year that it's been there"
First year it was supposed to be there, CS was released in Japan and no one wanted to practice a dead game. It's like if everyone was playing Super and America had to play vanilla and Super was set to come out very soon, but not in time for Evo. The community told them to let another game take its place since having their game on stage would be pointless at the time. Second time, it wasnt even the lowest entered tournament. Third time, Mr Fatass Wizard outright states in SRK forums that ASW didnt give him money and was upset they gave money to their own BBRevolution sponsored tournament to send people to BBRevo in Japan, so not getting into Evo.

This is the same fat ass that said AH3 was a dead game in America 2 weeks before the game even came out and that it was time for people to move on and stop dwelling on anime games. He's literally the cancer of fighting game community that just milks it for money with a tournament every year.
Okay and when can we expect the next NEXT version to come out? 6 months from now?
#21 @Kirby, I completely agree with you, Mr Wizard is someone influent in the FGC and somehow a problem. BB has a big comunity, I don't even live in U.S. or in Japan. I think at least 1 "anime game" ( I don't know why we call them so?) should be represented at EVO. I mean If they choose SFxT twice after not showing the whole tournament will be a shame, and 1 or 2 3d games should be also represented. My main game is Marvel but online is crap so I play Marvel in tournaments and BB online. Fortunately BB netplay is so good, at least we have that.
@5 Because it is WAY too Anime, and very over the top at it. That makes it difficult to approach a wider audience.
@25: Hahahaha! Oh wait, you're serious? Let me laugh harder. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Seriously, BB is a fine game. It may get some crap, but it's still a very solid and very fun game.
I'm excited for this new entry into the series, and kind of glad I skipped on Extend. I wonder if there will be more characters for the console version.
it's really sad that BB gets so much hate. ESPECIALLY when people say P4A is better because it's not, it's just new and has persona characters.
It really is a shame that Blazblue's gotten shafted by bad release dates and scrubs mindlessly believing that being on the Evolution line-up is the only way to validate a game. Despite how great BB3 is looking already, it probably won't see an american console release until 5-6 months after its arcade release AGAIN, further exacerbating the ignorant hate it receives.
@27 Lambda-11 probably won't be in this game. According to blazblue's story, both her and Mu-12 are dead. Neither of them were in the trailer either. They could do something like bring back Nu-13 in a surprise announcement but so far there's no confirmation that they'll be in BB3.
I get the feeling they may combine Lambda and Nu's playstyle somehow. Hey it could happen.
I figured L-11 wouldn't be back but I am still extremely sad about that. Platinum and L-11 were my primary reasons to play. At least I do still have Platinum to look forward to, along with trying the new characters.
Initially when I read the Overdrive thing I was immediately turned off. But looking it over, I'm willing to give it a chance. Keeping my eye on the game, though after kinda' falling off from the last two BBs and skipping Extend completely, as well with GGAC's impending XBLA release, I'm not certain if I'll get into this or not. I at least want to finish the story and see if the the sequel feels better than the last two for me.
@31 - Nu was alive at the end of BBCS. Hazama and Relius are watching her in the cauldron and comment on her regenerative abilities. Mu is Noel and Noel is alive, so they can always have both exist.
@25 Really? TOO anime? I have no comment. Also Chrono Phantasma is a sick name.
