Mixed in with all of the details on Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Namco Bandai's Katsuhiro Harada also noted that progress is being made on Tekken X Street Fighter as well, with that title being nearly 10% complete.My body will be ready....unless I'm dead when it releases :P
That's okay. It could mean that they're trying hard to make sure the game is complete and full of content that isn't "disc-locked".
glad 2 see progress being made, can't wait 4 that first trailer.
this is deja vu lol hope it doesn't end like how it did before
No need to rush Namco. Take your time to make it the best darn game ever.
It's good to know that we don't have to worry about any greedy business practices with both Tekken Tag Tourament 2 and Tekken X Street Fighter...Its because of this that I'm going to start supporting this franchise....Is anyone else knew to the franchise like me??

@Community in general
How come we as the community for fighting games is throwing so much salt on Street fighter x tekken like it is a snail or sum sh*t?
@17 speaking for myself I don't even own the game, so I never talk bad about or give bad reviews on things I don't posses.... I don't know if its all sfxt's bad press or the game itself But TxSF is the cross-over of the two I've been looking forward too, whether its bad press or not I will be getting this one because it would be a nice change of pace and breath of fresh air. I havent played a Tekken game in years this just might be the game to renew my interest in Tekken
@19 and @20
I totally understand that the DLC and other problems are the reason why the game is getting alot of negative attention, but shouldnt capcom get the bad wrap, not the game? I understand the game could of been marketed better, but can't we just enjoy something that was made for the community to bring the tekken players and the street fighter players into one battlefield. the game should never get so much hate. the negativity is so tedious and repetitive. Everytime something about the game is posted on Eventhubs, Shoryuken, or even Iplaywinner, it gets sh*tted on even if it is something that benefits the players.
I concure with #7 and i hope there is some at e3 for this.
@21
Capcom's business practice does transcend into sfxt since they made it, with its many glitches, infinite, missing mode that they hide from customers, on disc dlcs, online sound bug (although its been fixed)....makes you wonder if they ever tested the game before they shipped it out. And they spent mode resources and time on dlcs rather than the actual game it self like modes, stages, mechanics etc.
hating on sf x tekken is "in" right now so not surprising even in irrelevant articles. capcom is already being displayed as the evil corporation the fans are singling out and namco is the target to all the praise when harade says something, its gold. it will die down eventually its the hype just happening so deja vu
Well, to all of those who are still complaining about the on-disc DLC, Soulcalibur IV and Mass Effect 3 says hi.
@24
I understand. Ok suppose the game gets fixed up and all the DLC is done with, will the hype return or will people still hate something that was never suppose to be based off hate. It was for the fun of the community.
@26
SCIV dunno what DLC it had, but i doubt it was nearly as much as SFxT, and as for ME and SCIV too, i do not "approve" of that either, any company to me that does that is already failing hard. thing is EH until recently was mostly capcom's games, therefore, since i mostly visit this site im more informed on the matter related to Capcom, therefore im more prone to be informed and produce a opinion in favor/against in regard to Capcom, which atm stands mighty negative.
not because it is "in" to hate atm, im going all hipster now and say "i hated before it was cool", cuz usualy when i "hate" or, share my opinion, people go all fanboy... that was itll they get pretty badly handled on their behind, making them sore and thus lashing out, also making this new, hive, mind of hate, which i too dislike, cuz lots of people out there hate for the sake of hating, and throw arguments and opinions not their own...
@27
I don't think hype will return, it never had one to begin with, let's hope EVO will bring some light into this game when japanese players reveals some cool stuff. The thing is, some of these problems shouldn't even exist in the first place and fans shouldn't have dealt with this for a $60 game. If they had ever tested the game online for 1 hour they would've known the sound problem for example. Or they already knew the sound problem but told us afterwards. They couldn't fix it before they shipp the games out? Instead they patched it later to meet the deadline? Anyway it's been fixed, let's hope other things get fixed soon as well.
this will most likely be a 3D side stepping fighter right? i suck at those
Im surprised they even started with TXSF, since TTT2 still is being made. I really want to see Makoto on this game and how SF characters will look like with 60 movelist.
@ 26 Yes, SCIV and SCV had "Disk Locked Content", but lets analyzed it for a minute shall we! Before you start trowing names were it doesn't belong. The only thing they locked on SCIV was 1 character, because the promotion of the games was Darth Vader for PS3 and Yoda for Xbox. After a time both consoles would eventually have the option of DLC the character promoted for the other console. On SCV the only thing that was locked was a single character and 2 costumes that were part of a Pre-Order deal. In a similar fashion to SCIV after a time you could DLC the code. ANY other DLC SCV have, has been real DLC's. This us understandable if Capcom did the same thing, I wouldn't have anything against it.
Now, if you gonna dispute this as Disk Locked Content is Disk Locked Content no matter what, you may be right. But on SC games NOTHING was sacrificed for the DLC. You get the full game with all the modes, the main characters and everything that was advertised. Those DLC were a single character and 2 pieces of costumes, because of promotion purposes and it is the bare minimum content locked on disk. it is not like the de-fragmented 10% of the game to sell them to you at a higher price later and get a half ass game on stores.
Mass Effect? That's a EA game, we don't discuss EA games here. But if you want to know EA was recently voted by the people as the worst company in America on a recent poll. So you can see fans are not happy with them either. And if you want me to add another game that does this too, let me mention Ninja Gaiden 3. I wasn't happen when i DLC the content and was a f-cking code, so I won't buy the second DLC.
@21:
What are you talkin' about? Capcom's gettin' sh-t'd on just as much as the game they made - if not more. I personally don't like SFxT myself, but even I can agree that it is gettin' a lil' old. I've already expressed how I felt about that BS game! On the flip, I can't be mad at those who feel let down - especially if you spent 70.00 on it like me lol
@28
The 'amount' of DLC on the disc should not have anything to do with an issue if you think that on-disc DLC is wrong.
If it's wrong at 1, it's wrong at 12, and vice-versa. We like to pretend Namco are the good guys and Capcom are the bad guys because simple people see things simply- In black and white.
When we get down to it, it depends on the planning behind the DLC. If, in fact, the 12 characters were in the game and then were taken out last-minute so that they could make more money? That's a problem. People seem to be jumping to that conclusion as if they had half a clue how games and DLC are made.
Mostly, I believe it is the younger of us flexing their 'down with establishment' muscles all over the internet, as they tend to do.
@34
I agree with you completely.
Further, those who don't think 90% of all DLC released for any video game isn't done before the release of a game is fooling themselves (you don't really think that Activision is hard at work making multiplayer maps for CoD after the release of the game, do you?). The only difference is that they don't put it on the disc. If Capcom didn't make the mistake of putting the DLC on the disc, people would be singing their praises right now for making more DLC without releasing a new disc.
The bottom line is, that it makes business sense for ANY company to complete the DLC they have planned for a game before the release of the game, since companies are ALWAYS in a rush to move a development team to the next project and everything and everyone is already there working on the game (this makes it easier to workout any compatibility issues).
#34
yeah, shame people buy skull girls with the mind of "down with establishment" mindset and not cuz of the game itself for example. at the moment anyway its socially acceptable here to see Namco as the "average joe friend" and capcom"as the greedy corporation". when both do similar practices, obviously the amount is different but it's still being done. regardless this game is getting hyped how sf x tekken was when it was FIRST been announced
@26 There is a difference between Namco/Director of Soul Calibur 4 - Katsutoshi Sasaki who confided to those conditions of DLC compared to Namco/Director of Tekken Katsuhiro Harada who has never confided to DLC conditions in his games. So I can say we will be safe in those reason. Different directors, different decisions.
I will continue to complain about SFxT because it is not a good game. Since it's often the topic of discussion, I often find myself listing the negative qualities of the game that make it ridiculous.
Also @34 S6 SG is not a "down with estalishment" at all. If you perceive it that way, you are too into the politics of it rather than the core gameplay. The game plays wonderfully and receives a lot of praise for that. Have you ever heard anyone complaining that SG was too easy and noob friendly, so they decided to not play it? No. You hear "I don't like the art" or "I don't like the character design/premise" etc. You never hear anything negative about the actual gameplay. You generalize companies as a total rather than each individual product. I am 100% satisfied with the SF4 series, and I honestly feel like they did more good than harm with UMvC3. I will not back SFxT our stop calling it out when it's the headline of discussion.
OT: Can't wait till this bad boy comes out.
If you guys know anything about Harada and Tekken, you would know that the man really really takes his time. I expect TxSF to be out for console earliest by late 2014. I wonder how many people are still hype for it by then.
It depends on how "all-new" the game really is. I mean they could just take TAG 2 and re-design parts of it for T X SF and, of course, add things that will make it more SF friendly as well, not unlike how Capcom designed SF X T using the SF IV series engine as base
@39
For the record, I never said anything about SG. 36's point about it was valid, though. People are of the mind that a game with 38 characters isn't worth 60, but a game with 8 characters is worth 15.
Both are great games, but the reactions to both games are very telling about the level of thought behind most of these opinions.
People like #40 here are a little different. Being upset by glitches/sound bugs/infinites, etc is a fair point. It still doesn't make a game bad.
Looking forward to it. Hopefully at E3 we can get some gameplay
