Cross Counter Live is back with a new episode tonight. The show is set to kick off at 9 p.m. PST / 3 a.m. GMT.
The stream was perfect for me all night. Great show.
IDK, probably just me, but its not the same without that laugh and Gootecks man im sorry but it just doesnt work right for me anymore.
The magic duo is gone.
Goo and Ross had good synergy and it clicked.
CC feels dry....like a wizard with no wand now.
So why is gootecks still on the pic of the video if he got fired?
I dunno if I can keep watching this series after what happened to gootecks.
People enjoyed Combofiend so much because he was a rare treat if he was in a episode. Now that it's suggested that combo will be in about every episode, it just kills that vibe for me.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Combofiend. However I enjoy him more as a player and his funny personality, not his ability to host along with Mike Ross.
As someone has said before me, it's just too dry now. I miss that laugh.
Gootecks just left.ppl need to give it time.Ross & combofiend can potentially develop similar synergy at the very least if not better.the shows purpose and subject matter still remain relatively the same. I still enjoy the show despite his departure.time heals all wounds.
This episode had a few problems. But I don't think any of it had to do with Combo/Mike synergy. These guys work well together and Peter is always funny as hell.
Problems:
1) The first eleven minutes were dead air, served with a helping of Steve. This guy is terrible. I like the Pre-Show warm up idea, but Steve blows.
2) After Steve, until the 48min mark the show was dominated by two guys pumping majors, promotions, shoutouts, etc, etc, etc. it went on for too long. All in all it lasted for more than half the show.
Mike and Combo will find their groove. But they have to keep the long winded guests limited to one per show. A usually entertaining atmosphere became incredibly boring because of these guests.
At least the obviously drunk Clockwork was having fun.

Sorry man, he's just not my flavor. I like professional, with a twist of humor. Steve is a bumbling twit and I find stories about him puking in the street irrelevant and boring.
This is a Video game show right?
Not looking for an argument, just my opinion.
Steve and Brian are awesome!
But I agree, the PlanetZero guy took up way too much airtime, making annoying excuses for troubles at their tournament. The console in a toilet pic was obviously a joke, and he even took that bit seriously. No one is interested in your whiny ass excuses, just get on with the job of making a better event next time.
Heck Lap Chi never bothered to apologize for annoyances of $8.95 Cup.
