@6 Derp. It's obviously a conspiracy.

On another note, this game will be the best. 4/10, 4/11 HYPE.

There is no hate for skullgirls. People that are interested in the game know that the game is good and people that are not interested are just like "the game have bad art" or "This is just arcana heart 4" and they will simple ignore the game specially because is not a Capcom game.

the art style is a bit hard to digest, but i think it's quite ok. it has a more gritty, sinister vibe than your average japanese big-eyed loli fighter.

more so, this game is extremely important for our community. if the gameplay itself turns out great, coupled already with the amazing set of features, this means we have a real developer that knows EXACTLY what the community wants!

therefore i will support MikeZ with this game and i hope his next project will be something more appealing for a larger fighting game base.

imagine having a SF2/3/4-like game developed by the community, fluid 2D art with good netcode and all the features we asked Capcom all these years, without the bad (greedy) business practices..

And then when IT IS a Capcom fighter they'll complain about their wallets being milked. In any case I'm SUPER amped about this game gonna have to put down KOF XIII and SFxT for a bit to see what goes on with this one. Day one buy for me!

@17- One perk of choosing one character opposed to three would mean that solo char would be much stronger when taking on a team. And of course that strength is split when more chars are picked into a team. I recall hearing that from one of the game's breakdown vids, and I think there may be other advantages as well. Though you don't have to quote me on that.

Very much looking forward to this game!

I'm still on the fence about this game. I really don't like GGPO. I ask myself daily if I want to spend 1200 MSP on Skullgirls or wait and spend 400 MSP on The Walking Dead Episode 1. The art style really doesn't appeal to me. The demo is really going to have to impress me. :/

I love mvc2 style gameplay. Either Skull Girls or SFxT will be my main 2D fighter.

i hope the system doesnt take every seeming long combo as an infinite and just stop you in the middle. cuz that happened a lot in match 3 whenever they started gettin into extended combos...

#24 Nah just a troll that got banned 3 times already. Saw a similar nick raging like that already.

This could really be one of better fighting games ever made. I only can hope it won't die online before it can reach full potential. To bad I can't support it financialy until it comes out on PC...

I personally LOVE the art. Reminds me a lot of old-school Nickelodeon combined with American goofy comic style, and a liiiiiittle bit of Japanese on the eyes and shading for some characters. 2 days! :D

GGPO itself is not bad at all. The issue is just that it has mostly been seen tacked on 10+ year old games being emulated on modern day hardware that were never intended to be played online. Skullgirls on the other hand was made from the ground up with GGPO being planned from the start.

History has proven that online comments will neither support nor kill a game.

It's really up to the community to go out and organize events if they want to make a game last long.

I personally like the hand drawn artwork for the stages and characters, gives it more uniqueness. Online hopefully gonna feel solid since this game will be implemented with GGPO from the start not just a remake game.

#26 no the anti infinite system won't end long combos that I've seen in gameplay but more rather using a combo thats being repeated over and over.. I seen Parasoul going for infinite and the damage scaling makes the infinite unviable and creates a knock back effect to create space. So no exploits on using infinities to win on skull girls.

#27
They will support a pc release sometime after console release. all i heard is that they will make a steam port

#20 well thats fine rather have people trying this game if it appeals to them first then to obviously hate the game before they even try it
