A few notable updates from Capcom staffers were posted on Twitter and the Capcom Forums recently. Seth Killian let us know he's working on getting a change log for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, which is great news for the community, and there's a good chance he'll be able to post it soon. Ono is talking about beta 2 of SSF4 AE v2012, which may mean we'll see yet another round of balance changes, although it's possible he's just referring to another round of location tests.Are you guys going to release a change log for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3? — Kindafresh
Seth Killian: Working on it now, good chance I'll be able to post it soon.
Yoshinori Ono: Hi good morning every followers!! Today,I have a slight cold.... But I'll have meeting for Street Fighter X Tekken's new rom checking and Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v2012 beta2 check!
Capcom's the only only company I know who lead fans on for years with much requested franchises. Most companies won't even address stuff like this, or just give the fans a straight up NO. Why you trolling us Capcom? — Devin
Svensson: Because over time, answers change... There are no absolutes. Any company who closes the door to opportunity hasn't been around long enough to see their business on a much longer time horizon.
And as such, many of our franchises will perpetually have potential. Just as Street Fighter, Bionic Commando and Marvel did for 10+ years until they became reality once again.

Then apparently Capcom is the only company you know. Capcom's trolling us, because they're trolling ideas themselves. That's to say that all of these ideas, like darkstalkers, are on the drawingboard somewhere but it would be highly iresponsible for them to tell us and their competitors exactly where.
However if this Devin guy has been paying attention Capcom has said no. They recently said no to any CvS development, mostly because they are no longer in contact with SNK.
trolling huh ? you know i guess im different. i like it when they give out little information bits like they do, i guess not for the sake of trolling but to hold me over until the game comes out you know. i mean...its better then saying a game is going to come out and not give ANYTHING in regards to it. like, i know it would be counter productive to advertise t x sf when sf x t is coming out first but i wish namco would give us alittle something, wetther it be trolling, a new trailer or whatever TT_TT
#6 I agree, but Sonic fans are probably a lot worse.
(Ok, since people don't get it:
The world has millions of possibilities.
By saying no or dying some of these(Religion, for instance), you cut out a fraction of those.
Sven is saying, if we say 'no' we cut off the possibility. If we keep it ambiguous...who knows.
In the world of business what's reasonable today may become ludicrous tomorrow, and what sells today may change tomorrow.
Ex: SFIV revived fighting games allowing such things like: MVC2, SFIII, SSFIV: AE, and UMVC3. If they had said 'no, we'll never make fighting games again because the market is ass', they'd have missed out on these opportunities.)

Sonic fans are bitchy for mixed reasons. I bet when Generations come out, they will find a lot to complain about.
As for Capcom fanboys, DAMN they are some spoiled bitches (No offense to anyone here. If I did offend you, then I'm sorry.) I'm looking at you, Megaman fanboys...
I swear, you guys are on the same page as the Internet Wrestling Community.
(And to comment on the Sonic fan thing - the key is to NOT buy games if they're crappy so the company gets the message. Sonic and Mario went to the Olympics at LEAST 3 times - you guys aren't doing it right...)
@14
So because I like a certain game, I'm a spoiled bitch? Well because you have Virtua in your name, I'm gonna slap a label on you and call you a queer.
#6 the problem isn't the spoiled fan base--well on it's own. that's going to happen. the problem that comes with being accessible is that capcom has to deal with the loud repetitive complainers. the advantage is the real-time market feedback via social media without spending as much money on old research methods that may or may not work.
those that are okay with the updates and info coming across won't say much besides "i LOVE WOLVERINE" or "that pandora mode looks HOT SON". seems like the only other messages posted (here, at capcom-unity, on SRK, etc.) are attacks. capcom's doing their job and trying new things out that'll A)expand on their IPs and B)not lose them money. UMvsC3 is an expansion on the Intellectual Property of the MvsC series that came about from the combination of fan complaint/request, units sold and general coverage via stream, press and news, according to what's been officially addressed by the company.
Capcom has to strain the gold from the dross in that they listen to fan demands and complaints on the whole then come up with workable solutions. all that negativity just comes with the territory.
i get what svennson is saying. 'there are no absolutes.' capcom won't give out flat out 'no's to ideas when those ideas might end up gaining the potential to materialize into reality. just like how there are no current plans for darkstalkers, the higher ups might see that the investment into the project might be worth it and we might get a 'yes' later. they're not leading us on, or trolling us, whenever they seem to skimp out on giving a straight up 'yes' or 'no,' sven and seth just want us to applaud louder for it so the higher ups can hear.
as for ono... don't believe a single word that comes out of that trolling clown's lips!! (...i c wot he does thar...) >:3
@18
Your not spoiled because you like a certain game, its when people start making demands for things like they are entitled to it or something, and I think it's just because capcom gives people what they want(marvel 3 and overall revival of fighting games) and it makes people spoiled and then they feel that they are entitled to things like characters in games, as well as games themselves.
@19
also bear in mind, that I have no problem with critique or people stating problems with games, cause frankly they might be right and stuff like that should happen, its a good thing.
But when people say "OMG no DARKSTALKERS! Crapcom be trollin!" it is not helpful
@21 I get that. I just don't like it when someone addresses an entire fanbase and calls them "spoiled bitches" when they could have expressed the exact same thing, albeit more specific, without being rude.
I just tune Ono the Troll and his goblin crew out, now. UMVC3 looks interesting but the rest is just an unappealing mess shoved out to make a quick buck. I'll hop back on the Capcom train when they announce Darkstalkers or Rival Schools. That's what I'm waiting on.
@ Spacecacti
Did I offend you? I did say earlier that if I did, then I'm sorry. Sorry, had to be real about it...
I guess Capcom's okay. I really didn't like how Ono trolled with Darkstalkers for a whole week, then announced SFxT. That stunt really messed me up with Capcom, honestly. Then told me, in order for there to even be a chance of a new Darkstalkers, everyone needed to buy SFxT. No dice.
I think you have to have less developed brain than a damn knuckle dragger to not see that move as a troll stunt. That's really my only reason for my disdain with Capcom.
Strange, I find myself in a catch 22. Buying SFxT would be supporting Darkstalkers, but I'm just too butt hurt at how the ultimatum was presented to me to actually do it. I hate that game.
(@29, make no mistake, Ono does indeed want a new Darkstalkers. Want and Probability are two different creatures, however.)
(#31 made me chuckle. Yep, that's what it takes for Darkstalkers, mane!
@32 - someone has to spark the blaze. Take it as you will. But obviously, at least Capcom wouldn't be making all these fighting games right now if SFIV hadn't done what it did.)
How come no one remembers powerstone? Don't you guys wanna see a third installment of that?
I my self don't like said "trolling", i would like them to just say, at the moment it is hard to tell, maybe some time later.
problem is, that they HAVE said stuff like that, or so i remember, problem is that the community keeps asking the same questions or such, leading them to always give the same answers or being more ambiguous than they should or want to be.
They sometimes say that "said game/feature/etc will not happen/be implemented/ etc"
but then it does, community bitched that they lied, (e.g. sentinel MvC3), even if it was a good lie, "MvC3 is a no no or hard, but they were doing it for 2 years..."
that leads to in the future they make a statement, and community thinks "hey, they HAVE lied before right?"
community never forgets.
I'm a complainer my self, but i just ask that they keep doing good stuff, without exhausting the market.
So we have to wait for CAPCOM's official change log to find out the changes for 90%.
Whatever happened to letting the community find out stuff by themselves? Take Super Turbo; last EVO, a mid-tier character became top because of a new strategy.
I'm not saying I won't be glad to learn if Chun-Li will be as much of a wasted slot in Ultimate as she was in 'vanilla', but give your fans a LITTLE credit...
"Any company who closes the door to opportunity hasn't been around long enough to see their business on a much longer time horizon."
lol, really now. Some guys have been around long enough, and they give out a flat "no", instead of leading us around.
