Even though hes painting from reference, i enjoy watching since hes doing it traditionally. Its a nice change from watching Digital time-lapsed painting vids with japanese techno/pop music in the bg.
A comissioned piece? He should be careful he isn't sued for plagiarism and such.
I like his paintings, even if they cvan be a little off sometimes, but he better start using his own style. Generally, as long as you don't make money off it, people will look the other way. However, once you start making money on art that isn't yours, they can take your @$$ to court

People need to be a bit more constructive and a lot less an a$$hole. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. and Yeah the anatomy is messed up, maybe you can find a way to critisize in a way that helps him get better because I think half the people here can't do better.

That is true, Plagiarism, however, is not. The original artwork is known and not done by him.
He takes money for art that is not his, which is none of my business, but I would like to support him.
It would be a shame to see him sued by the original artist(s), he shouldn't rely on other people's art to make a buck. I think he has enough skill to make his "own" art.
Call that hating, unconstructive or a$$hole, I call it friendly advice.
I don't log in and post very often, but everyone is right he needs to be careful about stating what he is doing for money because copyright law is pretty straight forward.
Now on to videos he does I flat out love. I find him be funny and engaging and I don't even really care how the picture ends up because the banter he comes up with himself I find entertaining enough for me to listen. Also for all the haters complaining about his artwork not being this and that get over it, frick if someone wants to pay him let them pay him nobody is forcing you watch his videos, nor is he asking or paying any site to be featured on any site. Anyone who doesn't have the perspective to see that needs to grow up and learn to be happy for people.
@19 its not that hard to COPY an existing picture.. i used to do it all the time when i was younger.

The fact of the matter is.. hes not really that good. And just saying so doesnt make you a hater, it doesnt mean you think you can do better.. it just means that you can see the flaws in his work.
All of the people sipping their haterrade here need to step up and show us they can do better and make their own time lapsed video that's entertaining.
Anyone can do some art and put their name on it and say its there's but lets see you do a video like this and make it fun to watch. Waiting...
I like his work, if it's copied or not, appreciate it for what it is.
I've been surrounded by friends who are artists all my life (Hell I went to an arts school) and I've been exposed to at least 13 different art styles, each with their own distinct tastes/spins on the same topic. Whether you like his style or not, at least give the man credit for putting the time and effort into making it.
Why do you have to be superior artist to critique someone's painting?

@25 Its one thing to constructively criticize something it's another to be an a$shole. Most of the people on here are being a$sholes.
Anybody stating the truth is obviously a hater that's jealous, right? No. You children need to stop showing support for someone that brings nothing new to the table. That picture there was done before, better, by someone else. Why pay money for a lower quality copy? If he was doing his own poses, fine. If they were his own style, fine. As it stands, he has little artistic merit to show off.
And before someone invites me to step up and do better than him, I will admit that I am no artist. That doesn't mean I am not within my right to complain and criticise. To say otherwise would mean you can't tell what bad food is because you don't hold a certificate in any kind of culinary university.
Agreed with #21. I can appreciate exaggerated art styles if its pulled off well, but this guys art just looks bad and he copies other artworks. "I don't see you doing better" is a pathetic and childish argument because it doesn't matter at all. Do you need to be a gourmet chef to know when something tastes bad?
I've got nothing against him, I'm sure he's a cool guy and all but it seems like the distorted anatomy are errors more than an art style.
Man you cats are rough on dude. He also has a childrens book out that is pretty good. He has other works out there so he is not copying work for a living. Do some research before you mindlessly bash.
Most of the critiques are spot on. Its not like anyone would care if he did these and enjoyed them by himself, but he put them out for everyone to see. So he should expect to hear people's opinions on what he is doing. That's the reality of being an artist or a creator in general, if you can't take the criticism then toughen up or stop producing work.

And back to topic with the art, Yes You need to be ready to receive criticism good or bad if you are posting it online. And I agree,with the comments. Needs improvement on face and anatomy.
